I know that members often will stay off-site or at a lower-priced resort such as All Stars for weekend nights, then move to OKW or BWV in order to save points.

I was wondering if there are places to stay near Hilton Head that are inexpensive if you came in on a Friday or Saturday and wanted to conserve your points. Obviously, I have never been to the Hilton Head resort, but it is one that I'm eager to try. Want to stretch those points as far as I can!!

Thanks,

There are a number of chains in HH that I'm sure are relatively inexpensive. However, I'd recommend considering Savannah or Charleston as places to spend for the weekend. 2 nights in Savannah, 5 nights at HH, 2 nights in Charleston and that would be a great trip.

You may want to call about cash price discounts. Studio's can go for as low as 105.00 on a weekend if available. Priceline is also a possibility, as there have been "Resort" level hotels going for $70.00 a night. I couldn't get a discount at Disney HH for a weekend in Sept. but got the Westin which is a real upscale hotel for $70.00, I'll miss the Disney magic, but will enjoy the extra $85.00 a night savings. I will be trying priceline for weekend nights that I can't get cash discounts at HH. I can not see giving up 99 points for a Saturday night under any conditions.

Marriott's Barony sits around the Westin and yo can do the tour and then take the Marriott bucks they give you and go to dinner. Do the tour if you haven't already, it can be very informative and not that high preasure.
