Hi! A few weeks back someone started a thread about saving for Disney. I took the "bank" idea and went to Mal-Wart (as my 2 year old calls it) and bought a big plastic jar. I'm going to decorate it with my scrapbooking stuff in a Disney theme and put all our change and other extra money in it.

If you have any other ideas, please add them.

Also, someone said they pay themselves each pay period by putting some money from their bank account into their paypal account and then they won't spend it before their trip. How do you do that if you aren't paying for an auction? I would like to know step by step instructions and I'm sure others would too.

Thanks!!!!!!!

To transfer money to your paypal you have to have your bank account linked to your paypal account. Log in to paypal, clcik on add funds, then it says transfer from your bank account, click on that and it will take you through the steps from there!

I keep our Disney trip funds in ING, which is linked to my checking account. I've heard of problems with Paypal accounts getting hacked or Paypal themselves freezing accounts every now and then (VERY rare) so there's no way I'd keep a large sum there.

I used a Quicken offer and got $50 free for opening my ING account a couple of years ago. Also, ING used to pay you $25 to open an account with a referral, but I don't know if they still do.
