Saving and Uploading a DISign - HELP!

I created my first name fill and I'd like to upload it for advice... What type of file should I save it as?? I saved it as a couple different types of files and it doesn't show up in my folders when I try to upload it to Photobucket.

jpg and gif are the most common formats. jpg is good for photos and images with a lot of tonal variation or shading. gif is great for logos and other flat graphics. gif also allows for a transparent background where jpg does not. Another format is png. png allows for transparency, like gif, but also has a version that will support partial transparency or translucency. The trade off is file size. png, particularly the translucent version, will create a much bigger file. png, like jpg, allows for a greater range of colors (over 65,000) than gif which only supports 256.
