Saving a Thread?

I have a Question

Is it possible to save a new thread that you are working on?
I want to start a Trip Report and want to work on it on my lunch breaks
but don't want to actually post anything until that part is complete after i get home.

I find the easiest way is to write it in Word and then copy and paste it in to a new thread when it's done.

There is a "Save Draft" button that looks like a little disk icon above where you type this message.

I just went to another forum and then came back here and found what I've previously typed is still there.
