I have my car reservation with Dollar.com, I keep checking the price on the web site and it has gone down 5 times. I started out at $179.88 and currently it is at $124.55. That will pay for a few meals!
10 days 'till we leave, yeah!

Don't forget to check your local warehouse clubs for coupons. BJs, Costco, and Sams all have coupons from various rental car companies that will get you discounts and car class upgrades.

I agree. My resies with Dollar have gone down too, not as much as yours, but they went from $135 down to $111.

WOW! Emerald Aisle just went down to $128 total for 9 days! Dec. 2-11. I've never seen a rental rate so low. It was with Ent. Coupon and Priceless code

Hoping the stars align and I get a minivan or an SUV!

Thanks, my rate dropped $8. and I just made the res a few days ago.

Leaving sunday.

What should I do now? Cancel the old res and make a whole new res or is there another way to do it?

Safest way is to create a new one, then once you get your confirmation, cancel the old one. I've done than about 3 times now with my trip. The rates keep dropping.

My original budget for my two-week minivan rental was $500 (assuming $199 a week plus taxes). I thought that was realistic, and I was comfortable with it.

My first attempt (National w/ Ent coup and Priceless) got me $449 and I was happy. As a result of the recent flurry of discounts on Dollar, I am down to...ready...this is shocking...

$312!!!!!

That is unbelievable to me! $129 a week plus taxes for a minivan! These boards are just unbelievable! I wish I could "give back" half of what I've saved/learned from all of you!

Awsome I saved $17.89 over yesterdays price (10 days....Intermediate car). Estimated total charge is $200.35 ($88 week, $20 day)

Jiminy Cricket!!! We need an eight day rental (flight arrives at 11:15am, departing flight is at 4 pm)...national, midsize thru EA, 12/8-12/15, priceless code and ent. coupon, price just dropped $39, to $109.88. Second reservation for compact for same time, priceless code with 2 class upgrade coupon has booked a standard size for $125.64! I haven't had any luck getting the price to drop so I cleared my cookies and look what happened!

I used the priceless code and my Entertainment coupon for $20 off a week rental, got a midsize care from 12/11-12/19 for base rate of $85, with the fees it is $109 and change. Imagine that - 8 days in WDW! I haven't gotten a rate that low in many years. I am thrilled!

I have a 7 day rental through Alamo for Dec 7-14, 2004
Rental (Mini-Van) for the Week Base Rate = 142.95
BJ's Discount and Coupon = -17.15
Taxes and Fees = 40.60
Total Rate = $166.40

Can I do better or is this pretty good?

Also includes Free Additional Driver and Unlimited Miles

Yes, what is priceless code???

We have a 9 day rental that has gone down twice already...started at over $300 and now is down to $242.00 including taxes for an SUV from Alamo in January.

Not sure how all of you are getting such low rates. I'm there 2/15/05-2/23/05 and cheapest I can find is around $200
