Save money and go to POP?

Following since my dd16 is not so sure about staying at Pop this summer. We've always stayed at AKL and one time at a mod. Value resort is new for us. I think it will be just fine since we don't spend that much time in our room anyway...

I think it would be fine! Some of the rooms are refurbished and will continue through the summer, I know 80s and 90s are done, but I think depending when you arrive even more will be done. It's one of the nicer resorts (room-wise) for the value resort options. We had to downgrade from our moderate hotel to stay at a value and I couldn't pass up the newly refurbished rooms.

Pop is great especially if you don't spend a lot of time in the rooms or otherwise don't need the extra amenities that the higher-tiered resorts offer. I think the values at large have a tendency to be compared to crappy motels and I've never thought that was particularly fair... the renovated rooms are really nice and the new beds are honestly more comfortable than I've experienced at any of the moderates. For people who primarily spend time in the parks, Pop is really a good choice.
