I posted this in the dining plan thread, but am thinking maybe main page is better.. sorry for the double post!!!

Please help me decide between the DDP/OOP and DDDP..without having to do research (lazy, I know) :)

We, me and (at that time) 6 year old, are staying 4 nights at CR post cruise. My dining wish list is as follows-

BOG lunch or dinner
1900 Park Fare breakfast
Whispering Canyon lunch
Ohana breakfast
F! Package H&V dinner
Room Service dinner
Possibly TRex, possibly.
Chef Mickey check out day breakfast.

We are only doing 2 full park days and 1 Christmas Party. With the other day being dining, hopefully a pirate cruise (morning) and mini golf, maybe Disney Springs, followed be the above listed room service while watching EWP and fireworks from our room.

Has anyone chosen to do DDP/OOP with a schedule like this? I don't feel like I would come out ahead with the DDDP...but would love experiences/opinions!

I would do the DDP and pay OOP for the rest. We're doing the QS meal and paying OOP for a few TS meals for the same reason.

Since you're doing so many character meals (3) this makes sense. Otherwise DDP won't save much if any many. It's not designed to.

If I do BOG dinner, I will have 5 'character meals' if you count that as one. Our last trip, 8 nights, I did the DDP and paid out of pocket for 4 other table service meals- including room service bc of the 2 credit requirement. The DDDP definitely did not make sense on that trip. I'm thinking on this one to use my 4 DDP credits for the most expensive meals, and then oop for breakfasts, and for snacks. We are 2 snack per day people..but small, as in Mickey Ice Cream, Dole Whip, and Starbucks..the other 'snack' is usually fruit.

Hi there -

I think you need to take into account the Quick Services. Sure, the DDP may make sense for those Table Services, but if you go ahead and use all your QS credits on breakfast, it loses its value.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too.
