Savannah Guthrie’s mother missing

Last person to see her, family, workers are always investigated to eliminate them. Of course it is possible it's random and not targeted.

I watch way too many episodes of 20/20, Dateline, etc. I hope it's not someone in the family and I hope she is found alive. I feel the longer time passes, it might not have a positive outcome. I can't imagine what the family is going through/I pray for her safe return.

Someone else mentioned that too up-thread. It happens. Sometimes we don't know where info originally came from, and it sounds like it might be real.

The only original sources I found were the Enquirer & Ashley Banfield on her podcast. Not credible sources IMO. No serious news sources have reported it. No person of interest has been identified by law enforcement. Speculation like that can ruin innocent people’s lives.

I understand - I try to be more careful about stuff like that, but blew it this time.

This story breaks my heart. My mom lives alone and is the same age. I pray she Nancy is found alive. I can't imagine how the family is able to function right now.

It’s been so many days now without her medication. She may not be able to hold on much longer, if she is still alive. This is so horrible.

I think all of us are thinking about our moms right now and the unimaginable horror Savannah and family are going through.

Sadly, I don't think there is any chance that she is still alive. For what purpose would someone keep her alive?

Without knowing exactly what meds she’s on, it’s hard to say what effect not having them will have. Blood pressure meds have been mentioned. Certainly not taking them increases risks for complications & other things, like strokes or kidney disease. Not taking them for a week will be risky, but not necessarily quickly fatal. Even being without some cardiac meds isn’t an instantaneous death sentence but can leave her at risk. An insulin dependent diabetic is certainly at more imminent danger without it.

An 84 yo being somehow physically assaulted & put thru this trauma would be lucky to survive, even if she had her meds with her.

I agree, although it was her blood on the porch that led me this way. It seemed like what would happen when dragging a body out of a house (it would scratch up on cement and leave a tiny blood trail even if the blood in the body was no longer flowing and a perp wouldn't think of this, b/c he/she'd just assume a dead body can't really bleed). Thus, why there's found blood on the porch and nowhere else (and yes, I'm assuming fresh blood, not years old blood, for this thought).

I mean, she also could have pricked a finger gardening...but...
