Savannah, GA?

Just returned from Savannah and I have some definite DON'TS!! Tubby's Tank House was the.worst.food.I.have.ever.had.

It was so bad. I went with a few of my girlfriends and we ordered the fried oysters, fried shrimp and grouper. The oysters were literally inedible. They were over fried and tasted similar to chicken livers (NOT what oysters should taste like). The shrimp were tasteless and the grouper was greasy, greasy, greasy.

To add insult to injury, service was non-existant. We had to take our own glasses to the bar to be refilled with soda and waited over an hour for our food to come out. It was a horrible experience. A tourist trap for sure.

Where did you eat that you liked? Did you take a trolley tour? Any recommendations?

We actually walked around Savannah. It was lovely and relaxing. We did have some very good food at The Oyster House and Alligator Soul. Alligator Soul is a bit pricey but it is an experience not to be missed, imo.

I was reading about Alligator Soul on line - good know the food was good as well. we want to stroll around too, but will be there just 2 ngts, so thought a trolley tour would allow us to see more initially, then we'd walk after the 90 min tour. Maybe take the tour the afternoon we arrive and spend the next day walking.

How was the weather? Tolerable?
