We were in a 2 bedroom lockoff on the Jambo side with a Savanah view on the 5th floor. The animals did not come out until the afternoon. One of our families biggest thrills is seeing animals when they wake up in the morning. In September we would like a one-bedroom. Do you see more animals if you stay on the Kidani side? If so, what is your favorite floor/section? Thank you!

All animals are called in in the morning. So depending on the schedule of the animals you will miss each kind at some time in the mornings.

So they stay out overnight then are called in? Is this a new thing?
Where we were we really didn't see anything. Especially looking for Giraffes :)

We prefer Kidani for animal viewing. We always request lower/2nd floor and sunset savanna. The animals are out all night and have been called in for vet checks in the morning for as long as I can remember.

What IS interesting is listening to the animals being called in in the morning. It's kind of a slow process, so you probably wouldn't want to sit there every morning for over an hour just too watch animals amble away.

We have always awoke to animals at Kadani. Zebras , cattle, giraffes, lots of different birds... Request Sunset Savannah lower floor for the best views.
Plus at Kadani you get a bit more space, much nicer master bath, plus a 2nd bath off the living room area.

The keepers starting bringing in animals as early as 5:00 am on the Pembe Savanna barn and then move to the other barns ending up at the Uzima Savanna barn. There isn't an exact schedule at each of the other barns because it just depends on how cooperative the animals are and if they need treatment. We saw a keeper having lots of problems getting the Ankole Cattle in to the Pembe barn. The keepers repeated the call over and over and finally a keeper climbed the fence and waved at them calling them in. Wise choice IMO to avoid the horns for those animals. Great morning entertainment around 7:00 am.

I think they said the daily check ups averages around an hour and half at each barn, and it starts at 5:00 AM at the Pembe barn and ends at the Uzima barn around 11:00 which is the last barn. But like I said the schedule sometimes gets off because the animals don't always cooperate. Some of the animals decide to go to their barns extra early and hang out under the trees nearby. So that means that some folks will not see any animals for longer periods.
