SAUSAGE PARTY...TWO THUMBS UP!!!

It looks hilarious. This is one that I want to see in the theatre.

Saw the promo for this, laughed more than at the movie I went to see! (Bad Moms - what is the deal with that one? Everyone was raving about it. I didn't find it very funny at all...)

I agree with you about Bad Moms. I saw a few clips and thought it had great potential. Saw it last weekend and although it had funny bits, wasn't as funny as I wanted it to be. I know sausage party will be good because Seth Rogan is so raunchy and I like that kind of humour.

It did have great potential, and a good cast, I was so disappointed. Higher hopes for Sausage Party!

OMG. Saw this at 1pm today. Snuck out of work. Maybe 7 adults in the theatre. Uproariously funny.
So did you find any of the characters to be racial stereotypes like some are saying?

What do you mean?
If you search Google news you will see there has been a backlash against the film because some people felt the characters in the movie were portrayed with racial and sexist stereotypes.

I've read some reviews and it really seems like the movie is in on the joke. It's so over the top on its stereotypes that they really can't be taken seriously. A bagel is voiced to sound like Woody Allen, the 'bad guys' are the crackers, a potato has an Irish accent. I read one review and I actually LOLed at one scene description. I can't wait to see this movie.

I don't think I'd care for the film, but I did find it pretty funny that a theater in California had to apologize to parents of a lot of upset kids when they showed the trailer for this film prior to a showing of Finding Dory!

If you are into listening to podcast, The Nerdist podcast from Thursday, Chris Hardwick interviews Seth Rogen. Seth said he wanted to make an R rated adult animated movie. It took about 3 years to write it and a couple more years to get it made.

I'm taking my dd14 and her boyfriend to see it on Tuesday, never heard of it under I saw this thread yesterday but then I watched the trailer and it looked funny so I asked them if they would go with me and they agreed !

This thread is not what I was expecting..I will be leaving now :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

I know, right?!

Apparently I'm struggling with my new singlehood because I think I only clicked on this looking for a thrill. On the Dis, of all places. Sigh.

If you're interested, buzzfeed did a really good interview with Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg about the movie and their 10 year process in getting it made. I can't link it because..language.
