We've been to WDW a lot..but never in May. I'm thinking of doing one day at MK on Sat, 5/22 -- the day we return from our cruise. We missed Philharmagic on our last trip and haven't seen Wishes either, so I was wondering.....do you think the park would be really crowded? And is it very hot then? Thanks!!

Yes, the park will be really crowded, mostly because it's a Saturday. But it won't approach summer crowds, and there certainly won't be any fear that it will close at capacity.

As for weather ... again, it won't approach summer heat and humidity, but it will be in the 80s during the day, with significant humidity levels. So it will feel hotter than it is. Wear sunscreen, drink lots of water, take a leisurely pace, and have fun!

Bummer...I don't do well with the crowds/heat combinatin (which is why we go in the fall!) Thanks for the reply..we'll probably take it easy and do Disney Quest or just Downtown.

Why don't you just wait and see how you feel when you get off the cruise ship? The weather can fluctuate a lot, so you never know. If you're feeling chipper and energetic, head to the parks! By the afternoon, the crowds will likely taper off, and if all you really want to see are PhilharMagic and Wishes, you can come in after the parade when things begin to calm down a bit. You won't have any need to try and make as many attractions as possible, so you can take your time.

I wouldn't discount it totally just because of crowds or weather.

You're right...we'll play it by ear. If it's very hot and we're tired from the cruise we'll take it easy. I'm not even going to mention it to the kids! I'll see how things go! Thanks. :)
