Saturday for IOA in Sept 2011??

We're planning to hit IOA for one day during our Disney trip the end of September. Looking at our schedule, the best day for us to go to IOA is Saturday, Sept 24. It's been YEARS since I've been to Universal, so I have no idea if going on a Saturday is OK.

I schedule my Disney trips with the number one purpose of avoiding crowds and lines. I'd like to try for low crowds at IOA too.

How are Saturdays at IOA during "off season"?? Is there another day of the week you would recommend in place of Saturday?

Honestly, the main purpose of our IOA trip is to see Harry Potter. But my son will also enjoy the Dr Seuss stuff.

No, no one is allowed to go on Saturdays, it is certainly NOT ok. Just kidding, I think Saturdays can be crowded, but generally September is one of the lightest crowd times of the year, I am guessing it would not be very crowded.

If you're just doing IOA on that day, you shouldn't have too many problems with crowds. However...keep in mind that's opening weekend of HHN at the Studios so that park will be very crowded towards the afternoons. IOA doesn't usually see a lot of overflow crowds from HHN but just know that CityWalk will be mobbed later in the evening. I believe IOA will close at 7pm that night...if not later...it depends on the crowds.
