Saturday Evenings-MK

I know traditionally Saturday evenings are extremely crowded at MK especially when it's the only night Spectromagic and Fireworks are done. I've been there many times and the wait times are more than 60 minutes. Does anyone know if the Saturday crowds tend to "thin out" to a more reasonable level while MNSSHP is going on. I'm curious to know if people are purchasing those tix for Friday/Sunday and people are skipping MK on Saturday? Can anyone help me with this?

We have MNSSHP tix for 10/26 and I'm working on my itinerary. We will only be there for the long weekend and I'm trying to squeeze in the new Fireworks show on Saturday. I generally avoid MK on Saturday evenings because of the crowd level. Does anyone know if the fireworks during MNSSHP will be the new show with "extras?"

I've never been to the MK during October so I'm going to bump this page open for you. I imagine some of our WDW veterans will have some advice for you.

not sure but i can definately say that sat nights are so much more busy! mk was empty practically all week when we went (early sept) except sat night when spectro was on and lines were horrendous s o maybe try and avoid it?

I've been there on Saturday nights during most of the non-summer months and it has always been crowded. It was just as bad, maybe even worse, when there was a midweek Spectro. I went to MK during the day on a Wednesday in December, Spectro was running that night (in addition to Saturday) and it was so crowded all day. My strategy is to go to another park during the day and just go at night for Spectro, not planning to ride.
