I know MK is busy on Saturdays and after Thanksgiving it'll, probaby, be twice as busy. But how busy are the other parks, such as Epcot or MGM?

I think you are going to find all the parks to be a bit crowded that whole weekend.

Does it seem to slow down at all on Sunday? Travel day for people maybe?

it will definitely slow down on Sunday... we were there two years ago (and going again this year). You can actually walk down the sidewalks right before the parade starts!!

We're leaving late on Sunday, so we can "do the parks" one more time before we have to leave!!

TLS4Mickey - Glad you asked this question. Our first day in the parks will be the Saturday after Thanksgiving. A busy day in Disney is better than no Disney at all. We plan on doing MGM that day as it is a smaller park. See you are from Pennsylvania also. We are flying out of Lehigh Valley. Maybe we'll see each other and won't even know it - but we will be the family with the big smiles on our faces. Have fun!!!

chipster - we're driving(never drove to FL, before) from Pittsburgh. We're spending Thanksgiving with my Father, in Melbourne. But you can't be in Florida without stopping at WDW : )::MickeyMo . We will be at MVMCP on Sunday (28th), Epcot on Monday and MGM on Tuesday. I'll watch for you - the family with the smiles on their face- will be the other family with smiles on our face.:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

We are flying in the Thursday after T-day. I have planned on just doing some lounging around the resort (YC), WaterMice, shopping, and such for Saturday. Sunday we are going to just scope out AK - the park we haven't yet seen and then do MVMCP that night. Hopefully this will reduce the impact of the crowds for those first couple of days.

Chipster & TLS4Mickey- Another Pennsylvanian and fellow Pittsburgher also going down for Thanksgiving. We are flying out of Pittsburgh Thanksgiving morning. We are going to MGM and will be eating at Hollywood & Vine. Im avoiding the whole weekend I think!! especially Saturday! We will be in Epcot on Saturday. It always seems less crowded since its so big and spread out. And I think everyone else wants to squeeze in one last full day at MK before they go home on Sunday. Theres so much to do and see at Epcot that you dont have to worry about doing any attractions that day! We love walking around the World Showcase!

We will be the other family with humungous smiles too!! 6 of us going this trip!

We are staying at the Dolphin... look at those countdowns!!! ITS GETTING CLOSER!

MK will be busy on that Sat...that is when they are supposed to film the Christmas parade that you see on Christmas morning.

I appreciate the person who said a crowded day in disney is better than no disney day at all! We are going the week of Thanksgiving because it's really our only option rather than summer, and I refuse to ever do summer again. Are we going to be miserable the whole week? Please tell me no! I think I can take crowds better than stifling heat!

We went over THanksgiving 2 years ago, and I was preparing myself for MASSIVE crowds. I was pleasantly surprised. It really wasnt anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. More crowded that Janaury, of course, but very tolerable. BUT... the bad thing I read was that last thanksgiving was the most crowded they have ever had. And they were expecting the same for this year. The good thing is, by Sunday, it will really start thinning out. And as for summer Lori- Id never do it. I can NOT imagine standing in the florida sweltering heat, in huge lines, with mass crowds!!!

Miserable at Disney? Is it even possible? And at Thanksgiving time? Sat it isn't so. You will be at the most magical place and the happiest place on Earth. Sure the week leading up to Thanksgivng all the way to probably that Saturday might be busy, but hey if you are going through the weekend after Thanksgiving, it should die down from what I have read. But think about this, no matter how busy it may seem, when they turn on the lights for the Christmas decorations, that in it self should be worth it.

We love WDW at Thanksgiving!!! This year will be the 4th Thanksgiving Week that we've done.

We went early June 2002, and will "never" go in June again. Too Hot. Too Crowded. Too many grouchy people because it is hot and crowded.

Note: On second thought... I'd go in June agian if the family asked to go - How can you refuse to go?
