Will there be any Xmas decorations up on our 1 day visit on 12/1?

Saw that the Grinchmas festivities don't start until the next week:confused:

Any other special happenings?

Janet -

I'm sure all decorations will be up by then. I'm going over on Sunday and will take more pix for you.

Thanks Todd:thumbsup2 ; since we probably only have more like a 1/2 day due to travel time; i want to make sure we don't miss any interesting decorations.

Any idea of how late the parks will be open that Saturday? I'm hoping until 9 or 10?

The website says they're only open until 6pm on 12/1. :sad2:

Let me know what you're doing closer to the date and maybe I can meet you over there. :thumbsup2

i'm having such a tantrum:lmao:6:00 pm on a Saturday?:upsidedow mk is open till midnight...i can hear the HM calling me to sneak on over & see how they redecorated; too bad i'm fresh out of APs:sad1:

we wake that day @ 4 AM:eek: (who booked that flight lol) & probably won't get to RPR/parks until noonish (if all goes well) and assume DS will want to stick it out until we get the boot squeezing all the Universal goodness he can out of the day...hope he doesn't expect me to run;)

we had hoped to meet up with Jodie for happy hour @ NBA, it's up in the air @ this point:confused3 was thinking of stopping by on the way out of the park?

let me know what you decide

Islands of Adventure had the entrance of the park decorated for Christmas when I went on 11/3 for the last day of Horror Nights,so I would say by 12/1 everything will be Christmasy.

We are here now and all the decorations are up. Suessland really went all out.

We were at Grinchmas two years ago and thought that decorating was great. This year is even better. The only thing not in Suessland that was there last time is the huge crooked tree. But there are smaller frosted trees all along the pathways. Lots of great photo ops if anybody is looking for good Christmas pictures.

The Who tree lot is adorable! I will take some pictures today.

The big tree is up and fully decorated in NY. There is garland on most of the buildings in NY. The Santa hats are on the lamp posts in Hollywood.

I will try to take some pictures today and post them.

Decorations have already begun going up, but they are definitely not done. I keep going into work every day looking for something new and fabulous... and so far, I keep finding it :-) I expect that it will be completed the weekend after Thanksgiving by the way things are going, so you should see pretty much all of it for December 1st. Happy Holidays!

We were at IOA today. Seuss Landing looks amazing with all the Christmas decorations up! I think it even looks better than in previous years. They're still working on something in the area behind and between One Fish, Two Fish and Cat In The Hat where Mt. Crumpet used to be years ago. I was wondering if that might the be stage area for the Whobilation? It doesn't seem as if the stage is going to be in the area that had been used in previous years.

thanks for the info:thumbsup2 ; can't wait to see the Universal-spin they put on Xmas holiday decorations:goodvibes
