I have to take them this Saturday...fun fun. Anyone else? My practice tests are okay (2200-2350), but on the one that actualy counts this Saturday, murphy's law will make it so I can't replicate the near perfect scores, lol.
On top of it all I have to do a Key Club event immediately afterward!

Good luck on those. I hear that they are more content based. Don't you have to know some science for it?

I still have to take ISAT's and those are next week...

It seems every year since the 3rd grade they've been "adding" grade levels that must take them...

It was only like 4th, 5th, 7th, and 10th.... As I've gone up, the 3rd and 6th have been added the year that I went into that grade :rolleyes2

I dont know how your SATs work in america. YOu seem to have different scoring systems. Like for my SATs I got 6,6,5 and that probably means nothing to you lol. But its interesting to find thes things out. So good luck and let us know how it goes. :goodvibes

Chem I is a good idea before you take it. I'll be a few months into Chem and Bio when I take it.

Good luck! pixiedust: pixiedust:

I'm not in high school, but I have GEPAs next week. (New Jersey's Grade Eight Proficiency Assesment.) And it's significant.

That's unlucky! Our school seemed to do that with this testing program that was only supposed to be for odd numbered grades. We ended up doing it every year!! :confused3 Good luck on your tests!

That's interesting. Your's sound like they are scored more holistically like AP exams, which are on a 1-5 scale here. SAT's in the United States have 3 sections worth 800 points (Verbal, Math, Writing/Grammar), and the top score is 2400.

I have already taken my ACT's/SAT's. On SAT's I scored 2314 on a 2400 scale.

Pretty good.

Don't stress, I mean they're only like the 2nd most important test you'll ever take. :p

That reminds me of CAPT, which all 10th graders must take in CT. It takes 2 weeks of coming in for 3 hr. tests. (And all of the juniors get to come in at 11:00 [yay me!])

Wow. That must stink for the sophmores.

I've taken those courses already (I'm in junior year) but I probably forgot most of it by now, haha. That will come back and get me in AP Biology next year, lol.

They aren't too hard though. You have to get a 3/5 to pass (it scales up to a score out of 350), and I got 5s on all of them, and close to 350s.

 2314! That's awesome! I thought you were a 9th grader though..did you take them early?

I'm a freshman, but I'm in a gifted program. I was behind in math classes, so I plan to double up my soph year. I'm taking Alg 2, geometry, and since I'm taking those at once, I need to take chem and bio at once, so I can take the ACT. Its a big mess.

I repeated a math class in 7th grade, becuase I had a bad teacher and wasn't learning very well. It put me behind where I should be.

I'm finishing almost all the AP classes my school offers and Calculus before I graduate. I'm graduating with like 25 credits.

Good for you. :]

GEPAs: Don't cram, but instead remember everything you've learned in science since fourth grade.

Good luck with the doubling. The AP situation is crazy for me too. Next year I will be in everything but A.P. Lunch. :rotfl:

AP lunch. now theres an AP test i could get a 5 on. ;)

::yes::
APs are the most interesting classes, even though they are a bit harder than all the rest. And the teachers are insane. My AP United States History teacher has us read 60 pages and then have a test on all 800 pages we have read the mext day. She's extremely femenist (to the point where she goes on about it every day!) and a bit conceited, but she calls herself a social historian, which 'covers all that and makes it sound nice.' I like her though, and she is secretly a HUGE Disney fan. When I openned a drawer one day, I found this huge Snow White shrine. haha

She sounds like my french teacher. Feminist, conceited, a fabulous teacher, though, and all the better for being a disney fan. ;)
