Well, of a lot of North America too - but since this is a Disney board, I guess we know what is more important :)

http://maps.google.com/

I know when we plan trips, we look at maps. But, maps can be deceiving for things like "how far away is the parking lot" and "how big is this building if I need to walk around it". It's better to look at it in person. Yet, we can't spend all of our money for scouting trips just so we can plan for our main trip.

The next best thing is to look at satellite images.

I found that maps.google.com to be a very user-friendly system to use.

Some of the views I used in planning our upcoming trip -

Magic Kingdom Area

Wilderness Lodge

Wilderness Lodge with relation to CR and MK

Well, you get my drift. You may have discovered the web site already. But, just in case you haven't, I hope you find it as helpful for your trip planning as it had for me!

That is COOL. i bookmarked it --- thanks for posting for all to see. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

That is so cool. Zoon all the way in on the MK one, then use the arrows to follow the monorail around. After leaving the MK, the track turns South to go to the Contemporary, but then you notice that it split and one track went North. If you follow that, it leads to what must be a maintenence area, where it looks like it splits into 8 bays in two buildings. That is so cool - I've never seen that.

Thanks for providing those links! That was awesome! I have been zooming in and out for about 20 minutes now!

Yeah, Terraserver is ok. But I don't like how it refreshes. Click and drag is so much more intuitive :) Just wish Google's maps can zoom in more though, like MS's Terraserver.

excellent post. been having fun traveling fro park to park and trying to pick out all of the hotels and parks

Thanks for posting it.Have a great day.

I just wanted to post a big thanks for that. Awesome images there. I moved over to the Poly and zoomed in to see my next destination in October!

I also have terraserver bookmarked, since it does zoom in a lot more, but I do have to admit google is easier to get around.

Thanks again! :bounce:

Wow,
The map makes MK look so small! Thanks for the websites though!

What is going on by River Country? Is that FW?
