Satelite Image - Google Earth

Don't know where this should be posted and it probably has been posted before. I have seen satelite images before but this was on Fox News this morning. We checked out WDW and it was amazing. You can see the cars on the highways and in the parking lots. Great views of the resorts also. There is a race track that I am assuming is the Richard Petty thing just southwest of WL with a BIG Mickey head there in the grass area just south of the track. Have you guys seen this?

Just looked - HOW COOL!!! I also went a looked at Paris, France and saw the Eiffiel Tower, this will be the neatest thing for teaching DD about geography.

Yep, Disney was one of the first things I looked at. The detail is pretty amazing. Really gives you a sense just how big that place is!

Dh and I were playing with this the other night...he's looking up our house, our parents' house...then I'm liek "do disney!"

Here it is. The Mickey is actually a lake in the center of the track.

MSN virtual earth is also really cool. It is like the google virtual earth only can zoom in further on some areas.

I've just zoomed right in on the MK castle but don't know how to copy the picture.

We're huge Google Earth geeks.. especially me cos I'm a geography geeks. This past weekend I actually plotted the exact other side of the earth from our apartment on Google Earth! If we "dug a hole through the center of the earth" we really WOULD come out in China! haha!

Some places on Microsoft seem way out of date compared to Google though. Microsoft still shows our house as a vacant lot and there has been a house there for about 6 years now.
