We are staying at POR and have heard that they started a "Jester" cruise. How does it compare to the pirate cruise at GF? I haven't seen much discussion about this yet. The pirate cruise is booked up so this is another option. What do the kids actually do on this adventure? :jester:

BUMP!! Anyone hear anything about this! We will be at POR in August...would love to know more!

I'd love to know more too! We'll be at POR in Dec, and while my kids are booked on the GF pirate cruise, I'd love to know what this one is about. They seem to add more of these cruises all the time!

o-kay...found this on allears.com
Port Orleans Riverside offers the Sassagoula River Adventure Cruise. Children travel along the Sassagoula River to learn the "Jester's" way of life. Along the way they explore the Sassagoula River and finally meet the character known as the Jester. The cruise is held Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12. Cost is $28.17 plus tax per child. Call 407-WDW-PLAY to make reservations

Hope this helps! I am glad to see they have extended the age a little to 12

Thanks, I'd still like to hear from anyone who's kids might have gone on this. Does sound like it would be fun, though!

I have this cruise booked for my son during our Sept. trip and the CM who took the reservation told me that the time was now 9:30-11:30. They changed it from the later time because it interfered with park time too much for most people. I asked questions about this cruise on another thread that I found when I did a search and got no responses from anyone who had actually done it so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. I figured I might as well go ahead and book it. I can always cancel if we decide not to go but I think the cruises are limited to something like 12 kids. As reservations go I think it's better to have it and not want it than to want it and not have it. Good luck. :)

subscribing too! Our boys did the pirate cruise two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It would be great to hear some comments on the new cruise.

I jusy booked it for one day during our stay. We can always cancel, but I figured I better book it anyway. The CM said they still do lunch even though the time is earlier.
