Sarilas' O-fficial Pre-Trip Report (a.k.a. Vacation, Take TWO!) - Jan. 30-Feb. 8, '09

What.....What's That?????? Does that mean another 100 day PARTY?!?!?!?!?!? I might just have to show up for this one!!!! :yay:

Come on DOWN! :rotfl:

Granted, this 100 day party will be much more subdued.. mainly because I wasn't exactly PLANNING on it! But Kyle asked today if we could at LEAST do the whole dinner and a movie thing, which we will. I'll have to see if I can pull of a Disney dessert or something too...

Ugh, my kids are so not much for ice cream! Luckily it's only Anastasia who's on the kids menu, and she'll just eat the M&M's. :lmao:

Wow. Kids that are not so much for ice cream. Hmmm. I'll have to put my thinking cap on for you.

I found some treats while we were out shopping this weekend and thought I'd better share them before the pics disappear into the black hole that is my extensive photo archive! :rotfl:

Because Stasia is just barely too young (and shy) to do the BBB this year, I decided to have our own BBB at the hotel before MK one day- then when I walk into Target on Saturday what do I discover?

Disney Princess temporary hair color and tattoos! PERFECT!

Stasia has her Snow White dress for the P&PP, ... I don't know if Tanya will dress up or not, she's on the verge of that not being 'cool', you know. I think I'll probably look for a Silvermist costume for Lexi before we go, because she's a fair skinned dark haired fairy and Lexi will look adorable in blue!

But back to shopping.

I found these at Kroger, and though I KNOW it's early, it's one of those things that if I don't get it now I'll regret it in a few weeks!

Mickey candy canes!
Mickeycandycanes.jpg

We'll use them to decorate our gingerbread house (something we've done every year since I was a little girl), and of course for stocking stuffers and just generally to let the kids snack on through the holidays.

I also decided to go through my Disney box o' stuff which is housing all the purchases I've made for Christmas and Tink gifts in the coming months. I cannot believe how much is in there! I actually categorized everything and made a list so I'd know what I had and what I need to still get... LL would be so proud. :lmao:

In the box there are:

Princess tattoos - 3 sheets
Princess hair glitter - 4 colors
Carabiner locks - 3 (for holding maps to the stroller, etc.)
36 glow bracelets
2 twisty glow necklaces
36 Princess storage bags
1 box of 1 gallon zip lock bags (to store the girls clothes by outfit for each day)
1 package of fusible printer sheets (for t-shirts I've not yet made!)
4 magic towels (just add water!)
4 ring pops (for Tink gifts or for car trip, should we end up driving)
1 small box of Mickey Kleenex
4 boxes of Disney Princess themed crayons
3 Disney gel pens
2 sets of purple barrettes for the little girls
1 package of Disney Princess wipes
1 Tink diary w/lock
1 Red Queen in teacup plush
1 Mad Hatter in teacup plush
1 Jasmine pez dispenser
1 Tink necklace
1 pair of Mickey PJ bottoms (for Kyle)
2 Disney Princess silver shrug sweaters (for the little girls)
2 Disney Princess woven shirts w/flowers (for little girls)
1 plush Belle doll
1 plush Ariel doll
2 Princess toy cell phones
1 Princess notebook (for Stasia to doodle in)
1 Princess swim suit (Stasia)
1 set of Ariel pj's (Stasia)
1 set of Belle pj's (Lexi)
10 assorted Disney shirts (for DH and the kids)
1 Princess puzzle type playmat (Christmas)
1 Alice in Wonderland counting book (Christmas)
1 set of chalk with Belle chalk holder (Christmas)
1 Belle figurine (don't know what I'm doing with this one yet!)

That's a lot of stuff and I'm not even close to being finished! I've got to hit up the Disney Store sometime soon and look for more t-shirts, etc.

Whew!

Wow! I love your Disney Box O' Stuff. What great things you have gotten. I so want some of those glitter hair sticks and princess tattoos. :rotfl2: Reading your list of things has inspired me to really think of a cool Princess-y outfit for P&PP. princess:

Oh my gosh, you have GOT to do it, LL!

Oh, I so need to head to Target!!! Chelsea may be too old for Disney Princess glitter and tattoos, but her mama isn't! :rotfl:

I know, right! Tanya is still okay with the hair glitter and tattoos, but the costume part has her looking at me like I've got two heads!

They're in the bargain bin section, Jackie!

Oh how I wish I was 10 again so I could dress up as a cute little princess.

I don't think I want a full out costume but a princess-fied outfit would be great.

I can't wait to head over there -- I may have to do so this weekend -- I love the bargain bins!!!

Sounds like you have refridgerator Disney Box!!!:rotfl:
Just awesome.
I have quite a little collection going myself, cept mine is a large hiking backpack. Somewhere Nova will never look.

Um, dude.

Am I too old to be adopted?

I sooooo want to be one of your girls. I love the temporary hair dye, and the tattoos, and that box of stuff is crack-a-lackin'! Sorry...we just went to see Madagascar II today. :lmao:

I swear the list is longer than the items really appear to be! It's just a regular ol' Rubbermaid stoarage tub about 3/4 of the way full!

I love exploring those bins... sometimes it's a waste of time, other times its bargain city!

Crack-a-lackin' made me snort out loud... a good way to start the day! :lmao:

Add more zip lock bags to your box....you won't believe how handy they are in packing, the resort and the parks.

I totally need to- I got those when I had a sale coupon, being the frugal lady that I am! I need to have at least 8 bags per little girl, so 16 bags for the 8 days of our park visits. Once they've worn the clothes the bags won't be necessary so I can reuse them for the avoidance of "Hey, that's MY (insert souvenir name here)!" :rotfl:

I am able to get nice quality ziploc bags at the Dollar Tree. They have a good amount in them to for $1. :thumbsup2

Ah- the Princess zip locks I found at Target are sandwich size (or slightly larger); the box of Zip Locks I have are gallon bags, just the right size to hold little girl clothes so their Mommy doesn't have to be frantic each morning trying to figure out what everyone should wear!

Happy Saturday, gang!

A couple of things here... first of which is we're back under the 100 day mark! The kids and I celebrated a few days ago with Monsters Inc and an array of trashy food goodness. (I didn't have time to plan! The change snuck up on me with our new plans!)

Today is 97 days till Disney!

Next on the agenda is my aching back... once a year (sometimes twice) I end up with a pinched nerve from popping my hip out to hold a kid on it while I go about my daily Mom business. Now is that time. I'm walking around the house like Limpy McLimperson, but the worst of it is that it hurts to sit down at my computer desk chair so I'm having a hard time catching up on PTR's and TR but hopefully I will catch up before too long!

And much love to my LapuLapuettes who I can't sit still at the desk long enough to catch up with!

Peace out! :rotfl:

(It's the drugs talking.)

Honey, I feel your pain! I do something similar about once a year and man does it HURT! May it go away soon.

And if not, may you enjoy many Lapu Lapus until that time. ;)

Congrats on 97 days!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
