We will be staying at Saratoga come June, what would you reccomend to do there? The pool sounds like it is going to very nice. We have three days, probably do one, park. Maybe a day at Downtonw Disney?

Where to eat at Saragtoga? I have heard the Grosvernor is nice and within distance. Any suggestions is appreciated.

You are very close to Downtown Disney at Saratoga. Close enough for dinner. I imagine they will also have a launch ala Old Key West to Downtown. It will be a very quick trip.

Ask These City Boys If They Know What A Hampshire Is? Not New Hampshire! :rotfl:

Mickey... When SSR opens in May it will have its own on-site food service at "The Artist's Palette." It will have made to order foods. It will also have a brick oven for making things like pizza. So you would not have to leave SSR for a meal. :earsboy:

SSR will have a boat to take you to DTD. For a quick meal of good value eat a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich. All sandwiches are $4.95 and very large. We were very pleased with our food there. I did not however like their Earl Grey Lemonade. SSR will have a food court type area. It will be set up like the new food court at POP. You will walk through the gift shop area to enter the food court. I'm still not to sure what to think of this set-up. They will apparently have different food areas like POP and All-Stars where you stand in line and order then pay and go sit down. As mentioned, it will be close to DTD for sit down full service restaurants and also close to Olivia's at OKW.

SSR will also have a family style take out where you can get whole meals and take back and heat up.

Tough to say since it is not open yet. Looks like they will have a very nice food court that will be a cut above the typical fast food fare.

You are only a short walk or boat ride to downtown disney where there are a number of options. Food should not be a problem at SSR from what I have read.

Hmmm... :scratchin what to do, what to do???
Well, if it were me, it would be easy. Since my wife and I don't have kids (yet), we would spend a lot of time at The Adventures' Club, and The Comedy Warehouse. Actually, all over Pleasure Island!!! :cool1:

I agree 100% with this. I did not even finish my sample of the Earl Grey Lemonade. We did love the sandwiches. Ate there 3 times in one week once we found the place.

Our server at OKW told us that they fully expect that folks from SSR will head to Olivia's for a sit down meal, especially since there will be a pleasant boat ride to take them t here. I expect this will probably be true and that it will also give new DVC members a chance to check out OKW a bit.

Hmmm....I've booked a few nights in July. I haven't made any plans or ps's. But, I am sure that we will go to a park at least once. Probably do a movie and dinner at Portobellos at DD. Maybe on another night go to dinner at Pucks and then to PI for some CW and AC. An evening at Cirque de Soleil if you haven't done it. Browse the book and music selections at that store that sells all that stuff...the name is gone from my head! I think it will be a lot of fun to be so close to Downtown Disney. During the day go the parks or go golfing or visit Fort Wilderness or go boating or shopping or swimming or resort hopping or just do nothing and relax.:earsgirl:
