Hello! I am at DVC member that goes to Disney a couple times a year. I am going with my husband and my 2 1/2 year-old on memorial day We are torn between staying at Saratoga Springs which we never have stayed before or at the Disney dolphin resort. We are going to Epcot twice so I like the location of the dolphin but I know they share a pool with this one and I don't wanted to be overly crowded being that it is a holiday. But I also like the Saratoga has a balcony because once my daughter goes to sleep my husband and I can hang out there and I don't think the dolphin does. So I'm completely torn any feedback would be great. Thank you!!

I would choose the Dolphin. The main pool is large and very nice!

Request a ground floor room, and you'll get a nice patio to relax on while your daughter sleeps.
(We've been lucky, everytime we've requested ground floor, we've gotten it.)

Another vote for Dolphin. While Dolphin and Swan share the main pool, they both have their own lap pools and hot tubs. We were at Swan in early March and while there were a lot of people there, it wasn't overly crowded. You can't beat being able to walk to Epcot and HS.

We just got back from a 5 day stay at Saratoga Springs with our 13 month old and it was very nice! We stayed in a one bedroom with kitchen and living room and there was tons of space. We put the pack n play in the bedroom next to the big bed. Then we could go into the living room and watch tv if needed. Honestly we were so tired we just ended up going to bed when she did. They do have several bus stops to make there, so depending on where you are at if you take the buses, you will have to wait for all those stops but that wasn't really a big deal.

To me it would depend on if I had points to use or not. As a DVC member I would always choose to use my points over paying cash, so I would stay at SSR.

I have never stayed at the Dolphin, but we love SSR. The splash pool complete with two kiddie slides at the Paddock Pool at SSR is amazing and your two year old with love it.

If I had to pay out of pocket I would probably choose the Dolphin because the location is better, especially since you plan to spend two days in Epcot.

Dolphin. We stayed there one year over christmas week, and enjoyed ourselves. They offer specials for teachers and first responders, and the rooms are really nice. We have also stayed at SSR, and didn't like it very much. Maybe just a bad week, but it was lacking that certain Disney feel that one looks forward to on vacation. Also love the easy access to Epcot thru International Gateway (never a line!).
