Amazing, thanks!!All the SSR villas are refurbished and they are amazing!
I totally agree! Stayed in a one bedroom earlier this week! All the SSR villas are refurbished and they are amazing!
They do have handicap accessible rooms for mobility issues. I think DVC was onto something when they made CCV with tubs and walk in showers.I was just looking at the pictures of a studio. The glass door on the tub/shower is a concerned to me. Anyone with mobility issues have trouble getting in and out of tub.
BRV, BCV and BWV 1 bedrooms are the same design as SSR. They all have the bathroom with a lot of doors. It all makes sense. It allows a guest staying in the living room to use the bathroom without going into the bedroom. We stayed in a refurbed SSR one-bedroom back in June and LOVED the renovations. The pull down bed and kitchen area were great, and the bedroom was so roomy. The only thing I don't love about the layout is the weird bathroom, which is divided into three sections each with their own doors. The tub/sink area, the shower area, and the toilet area are all separated and sometimes it felt like we were playing a "What's behind Door Number X?" game show, ha. But it's a minor quibble for the amount of space you get and the overall beauty of the renovations.
We also stayed in the Springs area which I ended up loving, even though I originally requested Congress Park. The Springs was the perfect distance to both pools, the bus stop, Artist's Palette and a pleasant 15-min walk to Disney Springs. Would request that location again.
Wondering if the renovations at Carousel are complete yet.
Just an FYI - the bathroom door situation in the SSR 1 BR is far more challenging than in the BWV 1 BR that I'm quite familiar with! In addition to the doors from the living room and the master bath as well as the shower door, SSR has a door to the water closet ("throne room"). The door to the throne room, when open, completely blocks the sink which is directly next to it. The door from the living room opens into the space in front of the shower, which is also the area of entry from the master bath, and if someone is entering from the master and someone from the living room simultaneously, the person coming from the master is at risk of being slammed in the face. The shower door also opens into the same space the living room and master bath doors do. I'm not sure whether it was the addition of the water closet (instead of having the toilet out in the open) or an actual reduction in square footage compared to BWV, but the SSR bathroom seemed distinctly smaller than the one at BWV. Other than that, we loved the SSR renovated 1 BR!BRV, BCV and BWV 1 bedrooms are the same design as SSR. They all have the bathroom with a lot of doors. It all makes sense. I never noticed that the bathrooms are a little different. Now that I look at the layout all BCV, BRV, BWV and SSR bathrooms are all similar but different layouts.Just an FYI - the bathroom door situation in the SSR 1 BR is far more challenging than in the BWV 1 BR that I'm quite familiar with!
