Saratoga Springs???

I was just wondering how Saratoga Springs was? How is the pool, cafteria, rooms, etc? My family and I are spending six days at WDW in July and that's where we are staying. We just wanted to know if it is nice there. Thanks!

We stayed there for a week in Dec. and we loved it. It was so nice to sit on your balcony and see DD. Also the walk to DD only took 4 minutes. It is very pretty and my boys loved the pool. I didn't eat in the food court but my MIL and my kids did. They said it was very good.

The "food court" or "cafeteria" as you call it is really a limited upscale counter service.

Now the rooms are excellent since they are DVC villas.

The main pool is not my favorite; I prefer the Congress Park leisure pool instead.

We took a tour of Saratoga through the Disney Vacation Club a couple of days ago. Can you book this hotel without being a member of the club?

And is anybody here a member of the club? Is there a forum area where I can go to discuss it??

From what I could see the pool was really nice---hardly anybody there, maybe 3 kids at most. The food in the food court was priced the same as everywhere else---I kinda thought it might be less since it was a time share property. The phase 2 area we saw was very nice.

You can book SSR through CRO, or you can stay on DVC points. It is a very nice resort. Go over to the DVC Board and there should be some discussion about SSR if you do a search.

About prices, I think they really like to soak us members because they have us by our wallets. Nope, prices aren't any better for us. It's just nice to leave without having to pay any room expenses other than internet or telephone calls.

We stayed there in March and really enjoyed it. The rooms were nice and spacious. The grounds are beautiful. I did enjoy the main pool, which has a natural rock type landscaping and slide. The workout room is fabulous if you are into that type of thing. Also, they have a spa there.
