Hi all,

Am a long-term BWV owner, but am staying for the first time at SS on our arrival night in March due to lack of availability at BWV. We'll arrive late (8pm, and will be going to Raglan Road for a late dinner. How far is the walk from the rooms to DTD (requested Congress Park Bldg)...and is it safe to walk back late at night? Am also hoping to hit the Spa the next morning before checking out while others shop - looking forward to trying SS out!

Thanks!

HI-

theres a path to follow over to DTD that drops you right by where the busses come, by the Rainforest Cafe

Its a quick walk, and lit up well.

The spa is AMAZING at SSR. I have had the hot stone, the hydro massage and a regular massage

You will love SSR

About 5-10 minute stroll from the Congress Park pool to the Village bus stop.
The walkway is well lit at night. Just one caution: When returning late at night watch out for the Disney Yard Lizards,
aka The Sprinkler System!!:laundy:

Another nice option is to take the boat over. Pick it up behind the Turf Club. It runs on a schedule -- generally every 15 minutes (but don't quote me) in the evening.

You can actually walk around either side of the lagoon from SSR to DTD. And the boat ride is very nice. The walk is easy - I have bad knees and did it in about 15 - 20 minutes. We strolled.

We were in the Paddock and it was about a 10 minute walk. A very nice pleasant walk by the way.

The fact that we can walk over to DTD is one of the things I'm looking forward to on our first trip home in April. :) I think I might be a regular visitor to Goofy's Candy Co. and at least the walk there/back will help burn off the extra calories!
