Saratoga Springs Studio Good Choice?

Scratch the pics because I found them. Instead can someone tell me a little about saratoga springs studio. Did I make a good upgrade from POR? Is there room service in these villas? As far as I know from what it looks like I'm pretty please at the upgrades that comes with SS. I love having a balcony. I can make breakfast in the morning. It seems to have a great location. Anything else?

No room service. However, I'm with you. I used to love POR, but once I stayed at a resort with a balcony, it was really hard to go back.

No room service at SSR or OKW since they are not connected to another deluxe WDW resort. You'll get one queen sized bed, plus one double sized sleeper sofa.

But SSR is a wonderful place to stay. Artists' Palette has excellent food choices and very different from the normal counter service you find at most of the resorts. You are only a short walk from DTD.

You made a great choice! You will love being able to walk to DtD(or take the ferry), the bus service is great, the CM's are friendly, the grounds are beautiful, there is a spa onsite, the pools are fun and they have great counter service food and a great restaurant. The room decor is fabulous and it's great having the fridge, micro, coffee pot, toaster and all the paper goods like plates, cups, utensils. No, there is no room service but we have never missed it. One tip, call and put a request in for the GRANDSTAND section. It is the first pick up for the buses when heading to any park and it is the first drop off when coming back from a park. It also has the new theme pool which is great and also has a pool bar. You can also rent bikes and surrey bikes to ride around the resort. Let me know if you have any other questions. It's my home resort and we were just there in Nov.

Where is the carousel section? I'm looking at a map right now SSR and I see Congress, Springs and Paddock. Is this map old?

If you only see 3 sections, then yes your map is old. If I remember properly, the carosel is across the street from the Paddocks. It is the first section to the left as you come in the main gate.

It is very close to the check in. I was able to walk there in under 5 min. Here's a map:

OMG!! I am so sorry I made a mistake it was the Grandstand location!! I'm so sorry. The carousel is not it. I'll go correct it in my last post!!

The Carousel is a bus stop that is located at the Paddock. There is the Carousel stop, then the Paddock. I stayed in the Paddock a few weeks ago and used the Carousel stop.

You've made a great choice, we loved our studio at SSR, especially the view which was wow.

We stayed in the Grandstand section, it has a lovely pool area and hot tub.

No room service though.

You'll love it!!! One of my greatest memories from our first trip to SSR was getting up before anyone else and watching the sunrise. I also loved sitting on my balcony, mug in hand, watching the rabbits and ducks in the courtyard below. And we loved the walk to DTD!

Thank you for the info and from the sounds of it we are really going to enjoy SSR. Yes the balcony is one of the best features i'm looking forward to. I get up early and a lot early then my fiance so i'm looking forward to sitting out there in quiet.

Another for SSR studio rooms. DW & I stayed there in July '07 & loved it. The view from our balcony was very nice. We were in the Paddock section looking across the water toward the main building.
