Im so sorry if this is a tired question (which I'm guessing it is), but what is a good room request for this resort? We have a preferred view studio booked for the end of May and my biggest request would be to be as close to the Disney Springs walkway as possible. Is that redundant since we have a preferred view? Should I focus on a different request? Is there any reason be on a higher floor? Better view? How long exactly is the walk to Disney Springs? We like to hang out at the bar and eat yummy food. Is there a place to do that at Saratoga? Or should we just plan on going to Disney Springs? We usually stay at the Boardwalk and while I love this location, I am looking forward to trying something new. Anyone have a link to some great Saratoga Springs pics? Thanks in advance - I planned this trip very last minute and I known nothing about the resort.

I'd suggest requesting Congress Park....DS view....It's truly a sight to see , especially at night....It has its own pool, but you can certainly walk over to the Carriage House (Main Bldg.) with everything right there, including the main pool.

The Turf Club, (Their TS restaurant) is definitely a true hidden gem too. Great Prime rib, & a nice lil lounge / bar area...But I'd head over to DS for that type of atmosphere if it were me. Requesting a certain floor here, kind of is irrelevant IMHO....I'd just make sure I had the view of the water & DS. It really is a very nice resort..Way different from any of the others, for sure.

Thanks so much. This was exactly the info I was looking for. Congress Park with a DS view it is!
Any info on how long the walk is to DS and where exactly you come out?

Depending on which bldg. you are in...I think there are 4...So that could be another request.Closest bldg to DS :confused3.
My guess is this from closest bldg to DS, maybe 3-4 mins. From the furthest, maybe 6 or so.

Here's a map:https://www.google.com/search?q=saratoga+springs+resort+map&espv=2&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjsz7qN7NnSAhUJ22MKHYpIC44Q7AkIJg&biw=1242&bih=580#q=saratoga+springs+resort+map&tbm=isch&tbs=rimg:CRRffBU4vNwsIjj5Yg6wUmpYotYTg_1daB2jYkj0NCG19Y7-GsjzMdXiVVgWRmF7HJSNNZpHsQxBEtwxIA-grMIG4hSoSCfliDrBSaliiEep2_1hsKNG7WKhIJ1hOD91oHaNgRGCMavMQZ2-wqEgmSPQ0IbX1jvxEEP5q2mVth5CoSCYayPMx1eJVWEeBzmqIuvfAsKhIJBZGYXsclI00R4HOaoi698CwqEglmkexDEES3DBGDkJczAr7sDioSCUgD6CswgbiFEdwY3whta-1f&*&imgdii=rvHanRLFBmthwM:&imgrc=SAPoKzCBuIUpLM:

On here, if you look at the small bridge near the top right, that's where you'll journey across. It'll bring you down into the market place I believe, pretty close to RainForest Cafe... Also there is the boat launch from behind the Carriage House....This is what I would take, If we were staying in the Springs section.

New question - I just completed online check in and there was a set list of requests. I chose Congress Park and close to DS walkway. I didn't see anywhere to request a DS view. Will I get that view automatically with my other requests? Is there somewhere to request a DS view that I am missing.

Keep in mind that "Standard" and "Preferred" aren't view categories at Saratoga. They're building categories.

You won't automatically get a DS view in Congress Park.

Thanks. How can I request it then?

MS almost always tells us "We will note that and do our best, but there are no guarantees." I am not a lucky person yet, somehow I always get the room where I want it. That being said, I usually just ask for a particular section. I have never requested a specific floor or view, so maybe I am not asking for anything too difficult.

It's our home resort, and we actually just had our 1st stay only last Nov...<-----_What in the world did we wait for....It's a real nice change of pace from the other resorts for sure...Very relaxing.
Also has a nice hidden gem in " The Turf Club"..:thumbsup2

We like to hang out at the bar and eat yummy food. Is there a place to do that at Saratoga?

The Hangar Bar has excellent calamari, its in Disney Springs. It was my favorite yummy thing from last trip along with the bao tacos from the Morimoto Street food vendor. The walk from Congress Park to Disney Springs is very short. Five minutes max.

Thanks so much. I haven't seen The Hanger Bar. What is it near in DS? We love to hang out at the bar and have snacks so this sounds right up our alley.
