Saratoga Springs Question

So it seems like you all are saying I would have a better chance of getting Grandstand or Paddock if I book standard than I would have of getting Congress Park if I book preferred. I guess I have to decide if it's worth it to get the short walk to Disney Springs versus a guaranteed quiet location. Hmmmmmm...... Decisions, decisions!

Book standard if you want Grandstand. I requested Grandstand 11 months in advance but because we booked a preferred room , once we got to SSR on Sunday , they were all sold out at Grandstand and they had already booked us in Congress Park because it’s a preferred room location.

We book preferred for the guarantee that we WON'T get Carousel or Grandstand...I'm just fine with either Springs or Congress Park

I booked standard and requested Grandstand. We want a quiet location. We like to walk and rather than walking to DS, we can fulfill our desire to walk by walking around the THV. That looks like a quiet, peaceful walk. Then we can either walk to DS or take the boat. I think they haven't started back up.

The boats have actually started running again. That's good for us because then we can walk to DS when we're full of energy and ride the boat back when we're pooped!

Thank you! That was a typo. I meant to say, "I think they HAVE started back up." That's why I said we can either walk or take the boat.

It’s a short walk from grandstand to Disney springs..west side.
also it’s a really nice walk back to the treehouse villas.
Then if you take the boat, it takes you to town center Disney springs.
i always request “ near pool”.
only once did they try to put me in carousel, but I just went to the front desk and asked if there was another room available.

The boat is now going to the Marketplace landing right next to Congress Parks section of SSR. They did this for security check reasons.

65 (rooms 6501 - 6836)
61 (rooms 6101 - 6436)
55 (rooms 5501 - 5836)

My concern with Grandstand is how long of a walk it is to DS. Did you ever walk there?

Grandstand is close to the boat dock though. There is only one entrance to DS right in the middle, so I dont think even staying the paddock is an easy walk. I walked over to the boats only to discover the water transportation back and forth at DS wasn't operating. When I saw that I'd have to walk all that way just to get back into DS I changed my mind and just went back to SSR on the boat. By that time of day I was done anyway. I don't think there's any guarantee even if you book preferred. I feel really lucky that I got grandstand on my first stay here. I requested close to a pool and the pool is right in front of my building. Good luck.

There are 3 entrances to DS right now. One by the marketplace, where Uber and the other Hotels are, also where the boats all go to right now along with the path from Congress Park. The Lime garage and Orange garage. So if you walked from OKW or the Grandstand section of SSR go across the bridge around the DS parking lot and into the Orange garage, go up to the second floor, that is where you would enter DS.

We have stayed at Grandstand We Always walk to DS. It is a hike especially at end of night. If you have a car, you could drive to Congress Park and walk from ther, much shorter.
