Is the pullout bed at SSR comfy?? My Disney niece 16 and dd12 will be sleeping on it during our upcoming trip. Will it be ok? Does anybody have a picture of what it looks like pulled out? Also we have looked at pictures of the studios where we are staying and have noticed the TV is not centered and is only in front of bed. Can you see the TV from the pullout bed?? Thanks any info will help!

I have not seen the actual beds out but I have been told that they are comfortable. The back comes down and form the leg and the seat supports the bed giving it more support so there is no bar across the back.
The TV is facing the bed but it is on a slideout shelf that also alows you to angle set so it can be seen from the sofa bed.

Ok thank you my dd was worried about not being able to watch tv at night!! lol

I'm a big guy , and slept comfortably on the sofa bed. It is a new type of pull out sofa , it inverts upon itself so the sofa frame keeps the bed up with NO metal bar across the middle of to have in your back when trying to sleep.

The sleeper sofa in the studio is a double sized bed. It is memory foam, so it is firm, but comfortable.

Sorry,I guess SSR has a different pull out sofa than the one I just posted.

If anyone finds out who makes pullouts like these please PM me or post the info on the resorts board.

I am still looking for these pullouts.

Thanks!

Have fun at Disney! :wizard:

Here is a photo of a pullout sofa from one of the DVC's.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

It is the same type of pullout that is in the Family Suites.

( The DVC fold out is the same type of pull out the Family Suites has but the DVC ones are prettier and have a nicer fabric.)

They are very comfortable.

This isn't the sleeper sofa at SSR. It's the one they are using to replace other sleeper sofas with the bar at other resorts. You can't remove the mattress on the SSR sleeper sofa and you can remove the sofa cushions.

In fact I was so happy with the fold outs that I wanted to buy a pull out sofa and chair for my spare room but they are made exculsively for Disney.

Thanks Linda you are helpful as always. We are excited to be upgraded to ssr but now we only get to stay at asmu for 2 nights! We are looking forward seeing the renovations!

Thanks for the info.

I will edit my post.

As Deb said the photo is off the new sofas at BCV and BWV not SSR. The ones at SSR are memory foam.

I am glad that everyone says they are comfortable. My sons said they didn't want to sleep on it if it wasn't comfortable. And they were worried about not being able to watch television if they wanted to at night while in bed. I know, I know bad habit, but it is a vacation, right?

They are comfortable for a sofa bed, but certainly nothing like a real bed.

I agree with Sammie. The sofa bed is fine, but it is not as comfortable as the real bed in the same room. We switched off during our stay in July, 2007.

I'm sure my kids will be so tired after a day at the parks they will fall right to sleep anyway. I was glad to hear about the TV too. I did notice the same thing in the picture...I was wondering if everyone could see it.
