Saratoga Springs Paddock Pool

This is a great addition to Saratoga Springs! We are staying there in October for our Food and Wine trip and I hope we are someplace convenient to the Paddock now! Especially since the Paddock Grill will have coffee for in the morning.

They were checking room keys early when it was crowded but later after the rain had closed the pool for a while and it was fairly empty they weren't.

Also forgot to mention the refillable mug station there is the full one with tea, coffee, and hot cocoa instead of just soda like some of the dvc pool mug stations. Nice!

that's great that they have the tea--I love getting an iced tea instead of soda at the pool. Now someone go to check out the menu and tell us all about it!!!

Downside for me is that someone has said the pool at cp area will be closed for the whole of August which will make the remaining pools even busier.

That would be too bad because that pool location/view is stunning!

But I think the larger, new Paddock pool = the capacity of CP + old Paddock. As an advantage, the old Springs pool should be less busy.

I'll be interested in hearing the hours of the QS and refills, too.

Most quiet pool bars are fairly useless for refills with their noon - 5pm hours, which leaves out the more important (to me) am (pre-park) and pm (post park) refills.

So how close will this one be to the Carousel section? We got stuck out there on our only trip to SSR and it might not be bad to be stuck there if this pool was close by. I was thinking that the Paddock was near Carousel?

I stopped by the pool today and pool hours are 7 am - 12 am. Lifeguards and slide are open 10 -10. The paddock grill and refillable mug station are open 7:30 am - 10 pm. Breakfast is served until 11. Hope it helps

Breakfast! Did you take any pictures of the menus? Both breakfast and lunch?

Lunch and dinner items:
Angus bacon cheeseburger

Chicken sandwich
Roasted vegi sandwich

Carrot cake
Chocolate cake

Milk


Kids:
Breakfast French toast or platter with scrambled eggs and bacon
Hamburger or mini turkey and cheese sandwich

Sorry that I don't have a way to post a pic or scan the menu with me on our trip. I wasn't very prepared this time lol. Hopefully someone will have better technology with them and can post more complete info.

Breakfast main items are 5.29 - 8.29 with pastry items and bagels 2.39 - 2.79. Fruit cup is 3.39. Kids meals are 4.39.

Lunch and dinner items are between 7.69 for the chop salad and 9.19 for the fish sandwich with desserts at 3.59. Kids meals are 4.99.

I doubt you will see much of a difference at all. A quiet pool shutting down is not a huge deal and they are generally not busy. They will usually attract people that don't like the crowds at a theme'd pool, which means that they would just go to another quiet pool....or people that just want a close pool for a quick swim.

Even the Grandstand pool with the water play area is rarely "busy".

Pool chairs and tables are going to be a big issue at this pool. Get there early if you want a seat!

Pool hopping by DVC members with a member card has been allowed to SSR (if that is an allowed hopping day. I'm guessing this weekend is not allowed)

However, the hopping rules state they can turn you away if the pool is near capacity. I'm guessing if they are checking cards, because its busy, they will not let you in.
