Saratoga Springs it's been too long Jan 2013 PTR..

I will check out the chat feature, cool!

I have to think of something for Monsters Inc, this week's movie. We are going to make monster cupcakes but not sure of what else to eat. I would like to be lazy and do pizza since I have to work all weekend but I doubt the kids would let me get away with that, they want to be more creative.

Well, if it's make your own pizza (using something like pillsbury crust or english muffins), then you can have the kids decorate their own monster pizza. I'm thinking black olives and pepperoni together for eyes ... broccoli for hair ... pineapple cubes for teeth, etc.

This works best for non-picky eaters. All you need to do is get "creative" ingredients and let the kids make their own. You can even have a pesto sauce for a green monster (Mike W.)...use white sauce with food dye of kids' choice to make purple (Boo) or blue (Sully) or orange (George) monster, etc.

Remember Mike also took his girl out to a sushi restaurant so you could pick up sushi or just do cooked seafood, cold shrimp, etc.

HTH!

Where I spotted this lovely young man

Was it him? I don't know. But he was super adorable and had a British accent. He also was escorted to the back stage area and shook the employee's hands as he went back there. I heard his accent when I spotted him talking to someone b/c I followed him as he was walking backstage LOL.

Our next day is our last in the parks, I don't even want to think about it.
I'm having a dumb day who did you think it was?

Ok last day. It has to be

and also

I love how the ball looked greyish blue!

I think it will be Epcot morning and finish with MK. We always do this on our last day, our 2 favorite parks.

Going to try for a lunch ADR

Finish up the countries, ride TT and Soarin one last time.

Then to MK for dinner at

I am not too sure about this one. Jace really wants to try it but I am wondering what I can eat here. I guess I will let them know when I make the ADR. I wonder if I should just surprise everyone w/ the castle for dinner and pay OOP. That would free up a credit for a breakfast the next day.

While reading other TR's I learned about this

I never knew! But I think this will be a sweet ending to a perfect vacation.

Sadly, the next day we will pack up and be out the door headed home.
If I do surprise everyone with a castle meal, then we will do breakfast somewhere. Ohana? 1900 Park Fare? Cape May? I will research that and let you know.

But, it doesn't stop there...we like to do a few fun things on our way home....not as great as Disney but we seem to enjoy it.

Rather than paying OOP for Cinderellas Royal table, you'll have to work your numbers, but irregardless it's almost always cheaper to pay OOP for breakfasts and save the TS credits for dinner, if you have to pay OOP for a meal or two.

Jumping aboard your PTR!!!!!! Sounds like a blast. Disney movie nights and themed dinner sound so yummy!!!!!!

followed you here from Diane's PTR. I am a PA girl too! I am subbing now, reading later!;)

Thank you so much for reading along!! What part of PA are you from?

I wish I had more to report. I am hoping to have the dining plan paid for by the end of June or the tickets paid for through the YES program if the dates are released by then. I also got a second job to have this vacation all paid for ~praying~ by September. It's going to be a long summer but I know it's all worth it.

Wow,it's been so long since I updated! And sadly, there is nothing new to my Disney trip planning...well no, that's not true LOL. I was able to get all our ADR's, a BBB apptprincess: AND a Pirate's league appt pirate:! It was so much fun making them! I loved call the pirate number, so magical! Georgie listened along and he had the biggest smile on his face. I also got a new job. I didn't want to post anything about it and jinx myself. So far this year, I have worked 3 jobs. Target, cut my hours so I had to find a second job which was wonderful but only seasonal, so I am now a bank teller at a local bank. The process took longer than I expected. It has been a lot of stuff to learn and I am getting used to working 40 hours a week but I know our vacation is totally worth it. My dad also surprised me with the kids Universal tickets pixiedust:for their Christmas gifts so that is one less thing I have to save for:thumbsup2 . Less than 180 days now, hopefully it flies by! In the next few weeks I hope to have the dining plan paidpopcorn::. Will post when I have more things to report.:teacher: Thank you for reading! I hope all of your planning is going well!:wave2:

Just wanted to congratulate you on your new job! Also hooray for having your ADRs, BB and Pirates league all booked!

126 more days!!!!!
:cool1::cool1: I am jealous -- we have over a year to wait :-)

I am from Eastern PA - Lehigh Valley

and I am a guilty slacker, subbing to great TRS and then not having time to read them all...sorry about that!:confused3

WHOOT!!!! So excited for you! :)

I am guilty of that too! I always say that one night I am going to sit down when the kids are in bed, make a cup of tea and catch up on all the trip reports I subbed too. And then I get too tired LOL.

I am always making trips to the Lehigh Valley...mall of course! Our mall here is so small and I have an Ann Taylor obsession:headache:

90 Days!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I can't believe it's right around the corner!! I payed off our dining plan and am now saving for Universal Tickets, meal plan at Universal, tips on the DDP and spending money. The biggest expense is done, a weight lifted off my shoulders.

Other than that I haven't done much in the planning department. I have started packing, I got a super cute 31 bag, w/ 3 seperate bags that fit into one huge bag for the kids clothes.

What kind of weather should we expect in January? I guess I should pack jeans, shorts and everything in between.

Also, we are bummed that Splash Mountain will be down for refurb

Hi everyone! So sorry I haven't updated in awhile. We have 58 days to go! Can you believe that? I feel like it has taken so long to get to this number and then it feels like it went by so fast, weird I know. I am hoping with the holidays coming up that this time will fly by and before you know I will be writing the night before we leave!

How is everyone else's planning going? In the time that I have not updated, I have paid off our dining plan  and started to see the savings grow somewhat for the second half of what we need. Universal tickets and food plan, tips, gas and spending money. Got a nice surprise when I saw that my husband will be able to get a free ticket to US/IOA since he is in the military, thank you Universal Studios!!! We also decided against doing the YES program. Ticket prices have gone up so much and they are aren't offering a class for my little guy so for just a few dollars more we will just get our tickets from the military.

I also wanted to make reservations for the Wishes Dessert Party but it seems I am either too late or too early. Not sure which one.

Other than that, I am just trying to work, work, work and save, save, save!

I hope you are all busy planning! Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!

I can't believe your trip is getting so close!

Hooray for getting enough $$ saved, and how awesome about the military tickets.

I had to LOL at your Anne Taylor obsession you posted about above... I have a Dansko/Sanita obsession - and I am soooo excited to finally be getting a pair of patent red Mary Janes (I've wanted a pair for years).

I also stopped by to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

OMG it's 3 weeks until vacation! I can't believe it! I started this report so far out and now it's so close!!

Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope Santa brought everyone what they wanted! We had a nice holiday at home for a change. Santa brought the kids what they wanted and some things for vacation, so excited!

So, since I haven't updatd in a while, I will fill you in on what is going on....
Not much LOL! All our money is saved, our Universal tickets have been purchased along with the meal deal, we just have to wait these weeks out which will probably feel like the longest 3 weeks ever!

I also got a job transfer so I will be working closer to home and getting more hours which is great! Though in these past months that I have worked, I made such wonderful friends, I am very sad to leave them. I had to make the decision to transfer though. I work 10 hour days and it is just so hard. I don't want to be a complainer but I am ;) . Now that I have transferred closer to home I will be working more hours during the week and will have shorter days, it's going to be great.

Anyway, thank you all for reading, I know I haven't been very exciting. Hopefully my trip report will be better!

Subbing for now! I will have to catch up later! I have non Disney reading I have been putting all weekend! You have a lovely family! (I just made it through introductions!). I am hoping My little guy is enthusiastic about helping with planning when he gets older, there are some great life skill learning opportunities there!
