Has anyone stayed in a Grand villa at saratoga? If so what did you think? What building were you in?? Did you have a nice view? Any information overal you can give me would be great! Also on hints or tips on the resort in general. Thanks! (i posted this by accident over in the resorts posting area)

Stayed in one last Dec in the Paddock. Over all they are very, very nice. The one thing they are deficient in is storage in the master bed room. OKW has a large closet and a nice bank of drawers. The master at SSR has very limited drawer space and a small closet. I think the next time we stay in a GV at SSR we will let our guests have the master and we will go up stairs.

No one is taking our master at OKW!

We had a reservation for a handicapped grand villa at OKW, and 3 days before our trip we were told a mistake had been made and it wasn't available. They were able to switch us to a SSR handicapped grand villa with 3 days notice! I believe it was Congress Park that we stayed in. There was a wonderful view of DT Disney. The pool and bus stop seemed like a little hike. But the villa itself was beautiful. The handicapped facilities were in the master bedroom, so we turned it over to the couple that needed it and my husband and I slept in the fold out bed. A cousin and a sister were traveling solo, so we had to ask the two teens to sleep on air beds. We had 12, but sleeping arrangements were a little different. We crammed our stuff in the closet and on the last day I figured out that we could've folded our clothes and put them in the little buffet tables that were in the front room and the dining room. We had a good time and it was fun, but we didn't like the very separate dining room and living room. We prefer to have something a little more open for all of us - especially on movie nights. After our guests left, we had a 1 br in the Paddock area. What was great about this was that the quiet pool was next to the villa and the bus stop was closer. We still had a nice view of the beautiful courtyard.

Does anyone know the beds sizes in the two upstairs rooms??? Are they the same in every unit? Thanks!

We stayed in a GV at SSR (springs section) last October. There is a king size bed in the lower bedroom, a pull out sofa sleeper and the two bedrooms upstairs each have 2 queen size beds in each of the bedrooms. The GV's sleep a total of 12 people. The villa's are beautiful!!! The dining room table hasabout 10 chairs at it. I felt like I was at a board meeting in a large conference room LOL. It has a full size kitchen and all major appliances (dishwasher, range, fridge, microwave, disposal). The villa has 4 bathrooms!!!! Let me see, which one shall I use this time? LOL It also has a beautiful living room with DVD/VCR and 32 inch TV. There is also a small deck off the dining room and also a washer and dryer. It was so much fun staying their. We took my retired parents and my mom started to cry when she walked in to the villa. She is used to staying in like a motel 6 etc. She was overwelmed with emotion. It felt so good to be able to give them these accomodations. LOVE MY DVC !!!! Have a great time on your trip!!

I thought the upstairs bedrooms were 2 queens in one and 2 full in the other. There is a big area between the bedrooms that could fit an air mattress. I think it is awesome. I like the open area of OKW, but I also like the separation at SSR of the dining room/kitchen and living rooms. That way those that want to watch a movie can and those that want to visit won't interfere.

We stayed in a GV @ SSR in May and absolutely loooooved it!!!

Our villa was in the Springs in the 4200 building (I think that is right). Our view was amazing, it was of the fountain. Right next to our building was hte bus stop and right across the street was the main building and main pool!

The bedrooms upstairs each have 2 queen beds. The upstairs also has its on door to the outside which was a good thing several times when we feared we would wake the people in the Master bedroom downstairs. The landing between the two rooms is huge (this is wear the stackable washer & dryer are) and if need be, definitely big enough for a air bed.

All I can say is WOW about the Grand Villa!! It is definitely tops on my list of where I want to stay if we all continue to go together!!!

Not sure if you have seen these yet but here is a link with tons of pics of the rooms & whole resort! http://allearsnet.com/acc/ssrss.htm

Anyone have any pictures they could share with us...?????

I see that one person was switched to SSR at a very last minute, but do the rest of you own at SSR and booked within your home priority time?

You can view the villas at www.disneyvacationclub.com Click on the resort and click on the 360 view.

I have toured the GV's and they are WONDERFUL!! It is bigger than my upstairs. My main level is 1110 sq feet, with my main level and my basement I have 2220 square feet. The GV's are 2113 square feet, so just 107 square feet smaller than my house.

I want to move in but they won't let me ;)

I get to stay in one for the first time after Thanksgiving, can't wait!

We have a GV at SSR Oct 7 - 13. We have 3 childless couples in our 40's that will no doubt do plenty of pool time and DDD evenings. Bldg reccomendations, considerations?
