We are about to leave to stay at Saratoga Springs on Saturday, and are trying to plan what food stuffs to bring. We heard that the Artists Palate offers groceries -- what are the selections available? Do they have eggs, breakfast meats, etc? Full size milk, cereal? And full size or mini bottles of wine/liquor?

As a follow-up question, how far is the walk to Downtown Disney? We understand there is a minimart across the street from Downtown Disney (if you know if that has any of the stuff we're looking for, that would also be appreciated).

cereal is expensive we just got back from SSR it's 7 dollars a box liquor is expensive beer 18 dollars a six pack liquor about 17 dollars for a small bottle i think it's a pint you can order food and liquor and have it delivered to your room

Awesome! You are a life-saver. :thumbsup2

I'm putting in our order ASAP. If anyone out there knows, I would still like to find out how far of a walk it is to DTD. We would like to be able to walk over (and stagger back) one night (or two or three).

Thanks.

Depends on where in SSR you stay.... and what you want. We stayed at Congress park somewhere around 1101... it was a five to 10 minute walk to DD. But that meant a further walk to the pool, and the eating area at SSR.

Here is a map of the SSR Resort... so you can see the layout

There are 2 paths to DTD from SSR.

You can enter the Marketplace path to DTD via Congress Park path along the lake or you can get to the WestSide path via the golf cart bridge behind the main Check in bldg and Golf Check In. Look for the bridge and stay left, follow path. Both paths are well lit and we have walked it several times with kids no problems. (My boys love DQ and they normally shut it down at midnight and they still want to race back to SSR)

There is a Hess Gas Station right across the street from the PI bus stop. They carry beer and wine and basic groceries. Prices are very reasonable at Hess, not Disney prices, but more of what you expect to pay at any stop and shop gas station. Beer and wine definitely cheaper.

If you do not have a car, you could hop a Taxi over there if you are buying beer or you could walk (there is a crosswalk) but I would take a shopping bag or backpack or something to carry your items in.

The walk from SSR to DTD can be anywhere from 10-20 minutes, depending on your location in the resort.

Caskbill has a colored coded map with distances and I think the entire loop is less than 1.5 miles.
Have a great trip!

OBTHW, My first car was a 89 VW Fox. My 2nd was a 93 Cabriolet! I loved my VW's I hope to get a KG Cab again once the kids are grown.
