Saratoga Springs 2 bedroom villa room request

We are staying at Saratoga springs in a 2 bedroom villa. I’ve requested the grandstand section but wanted to ask is there anything specific I should request if I don’t want a parking lot view? Or are all standard rooms parking lot views?

Any suggestions or past experience would be grear! Pictures of your past views a plus!

At SSR, standard vs. preferred is location, not view. Grandstand is a standard location. See the map linked below, to see where the 4 Grandstand buildings are located and how they're situated. You could request a golf course view - there are a lot of them, so an easy request to fill!

To add, every section, both preferred and standard has rooms that will face parking lots as well as rooms that don’t.

Another possible request, if you reserved a dedicated 2BR, is to request a room with a room number ending in 21 or 27. For all buildings those are the last two numbers for dedicated 2BRs on each floor that are in the center part of the building that look out over the courtyard area of the building and none have parking lot view.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom in Grandstand. Had notes for high floor. We did get a high floor but it was in the farthest building in my opinion for the whole resort because it took around 5 minutes to get to the bus station from out room

We got as far from our request as we possibly could have - lol - a dedicated 2 br in the Carousel section. I joked we could have coffee with the gate guard. I was peeved at first since it was considered the worst location and again, nothing similar to what was requested.

That being said - we had a lovely view and had our car. It was so easy to get off the resort and to the parks in a flash. We don't use most of the other SSR amenities so it didn't bother us after all.

That is a pretty view! Just curious, what did you request? We enjoyed our stay in Paddock 4501 building, with the Carousel bus stop right outside, that for our next SSR stay we requested that same building. Got Carousel 7101 building instead, so I guess it was close!

problem is it's a popular request and everyone seems to ask for Grandstand or Paddock when booking standard. Someone has to have it. Seems it worked out for you and that is a nice view.

Grandstand is the only section with golf course views, so you’d need to book Standard and then request golf course view specifically. I’m not sure how likely you’d be to get it. See SSR map https://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/SSMap.pdf.

We got the back of one of the grandstand buildings on our last trip. Relaxing and did not hear any noise during the day

The grandstand section is pretty close to walk to the west side and Paddock isn’t much farther than Congress Park to marketplace side.

I’d request either of those. The only other SV section is Carousel which I’d said is the farthest if the three.

To make a location request, it would be better to do so through MS and not use that online section. You could, via MS, request the Paddock area in a building south of the Paddock pool, which, if you get it, would be close to the same distance to DS as Congress Park.

I agree with @drusba above - leave that section blank. Chat/email/call MS (if you’re the DVC owner) and request Paddock building 6501-6836. That’s the closest to CP and the walkway to DS. See map here: https://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/SSMap.pdf.
