So quick question, can I pay to just chill in the sauna/whirlpool/steam showers? I'm only 18 and don't feel like paying $100 for a massage treatment, just wanna relax in the sauna. Also I saw on a Disney website it says "bathing suit optional" is that for massages or the sauna whirlpool? Thanks!

I haven't stayed at Saratoga Springs for a while. The last I heard, you could pay to use the spa facility. I think it was like $12 per day. I'm not sure if they are still doing that, or if the price has increased if they are. Bathing suit optional is probably referring to the spa whirlpool since that was often the case when I have been there. For massage, most people choose to be undressed but with blankets covering you.

I understand that Disney is going to take over operation at the Grand Floridian spa. I would guess the same thing will eventually happen at SSR. Has anyone heard?

Thanks for the info! I will try tomorrow to pay for the spa. Hopefully they still do it.

The spa is closed or scheduled to be close for a refurb and management change. Disney is taking all of the spas back so the policies might be changing.
