Sarasota Beach

Looking to do a non Disney day during our vacation. We looked at trip advisor and came across Siesta Keys public beach. If anyone has visited this beach can you please tell me the positives and the negatives...... Also do they have chair and umbrella rentals?

The Negatives do no exists, there simply are non.

The positives

Pure white, powdered sugar, softest sand you will ever see in your life.

There is a large public pavillion area that has snack bar, drink bar area, a lil shop, plenty of tables and seats, bathrooms, and fresh water rinse off too.

A lil further down there is a pizza pavillion, with bathrooms and fresh water rinse off,

We prefer the pizza pavillion side, its where the tennis courts are also

There are lifeguards and they are HOT, beach volleyball areas, a kids playground in the shaded area.

The beach is prefaced with a heavy area of Australian Pines, in which you will find shaded pininc areas with tables and charcoal grills to use.

ok, the only negative is the parking. It can be hard to find somewhere to park. Also the sand is HOT, esp the paths between the Pines out to the beach, and the spurs from the trees really hurt.

Thanks Shana like banana! We are thinking about checking into a small beach front hotel. This way we can take a break from the heat and we all can get showers then head out for dinner.

ok so, some unsolicated advise here :

If you're staying in Sarasota check out St. Armands Circle on Longboat Key.

The best place to eat there is Columbia, the thing to order is the 1905 salad. We always get the half and half, it's half a cuban and lunch size 1905 salad.
