i posted this in the wrong place before, but can't figure out how to move it, so reposting here - sorry for the dup!

we arrive 3/5, plane lands at 945 am - debating getting a cabana at the pool, to have kind of a home base until the room is ready.

has anyone rented one before? is it worth it?
how was pricing, and can you book in advance?

You can book in advance, prices do vary as to positioning of Cabanas.

We were very kindly gifted a Cabana day in one in 2019 so can`t comment on costs, we did enjoy it for the day. It was on the same day as the Mother`s Day Brunch, so we spent some time out of it too. Ours suited us very well as it was the furthest away from the pool and very quiet, you can get some that are much closer.

You should be aware if there is lightning around you will need to leave it as the pool area empties and you have to leave the cabana too. We were lucky we were at the Brunch when lightning hit and by the time we were finished it was all over so we could get back into the cabana.

As to whether it`s worth it.....I have no idea. Also consider your room may very well be available, they sometimes are, obviously no guarantees. It could be 11am before you get to the hotel, almost half a day gone already if you are considering it in monetary value.

Here are a couple of pictures of ours.

We had a fridge full of soft drinks of your choice and Fiji waters and they left us some extras too.

You also get a large fruit plate as part of booking the cabana and I believe some credit for drinks and food. We had one cocktail each but didn`t order food due to the brunch.

There`s a safe too.

Thanks so much! the pictures are awesome. Do you get to keep the cabana until pool close?

You`re very welcome. Yes, you don`t need to leave till pool closing time.

We left early as that night in 2019 it was the second last episode of Game of Thrones (couldn`t miss it) and we would have to have left before the episode finished and we`d also have to shoosh others around us to be quiet.......lol, didn`t think that would work......so we left around 8.30 to go back to the room to watch it, pool closed at 10pm.

awesome - you are right, if the hotel room is ready, it may seem like a waste - especially because we might want to pool hop to cabana bay - but it being available until pool close helps - we have this whole day free so would be nice to have - i guess it will come down to price. I am going to give myself a price in my head, then call LOL
