Santa Monica Pier and Pacific Park

Are these 2 at the same pier?
Elongated names for each......
Santa Monica Peir and Aquarium
and
Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier

i am looking them up and not geting the same address and the directions i have are kind of generic to me, i am sure they would make more sense knowing the area.

If they are one and the same pier area........
how hard will it be to get there from DLR

I think it is. My son and I went with his class on a field trip to Pacific Park. I thought that the park is on the pier.

Pacific Park is the amusement park on the pier. The aquarium is underneath the pier and is well worth a visit. It is sponsored by UCLA and admission is by suggested donation--not sure how much, but very reasonable. It is small, but the shark display, if it is still there, was very interesting.

It should be less than an hour drive, freeway all the way, as long as you don't hit traffic.If you hit the Pacific Ocean, you've gone too far. Have fun.
