Santa Monica & Long Beach what to see/do there?

Will be in Anaheim for a week at the end of June. We will be at Disneyland for two days, Knotts one day, Hollywood a day and would like to go to Santa Monica, and Long Beach for a day each. I know that there is an amusement park at Santa Monica but, I was wondering what else there is to do and see there? We would like to spend a day at Long Beach too, and see the Queen Mary. What else is there to do and see in Long Beach?

The Long Beach Aquarium is worth a visit.
Bubba Gumps is across the street.
There used to be shops along the pier but I can't remember if they were still there last summer.
You can rent Segways along here. Go on a dolphin tour.
Go to Catalina for the day. A day is not nearly enough to spend here but you can get a good idea of it. If it happens to be your birthday you can take the Express over for free.
