Santa Got Me a DISboarder Weekend to the Mouse!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas :santa:

Ours was crazy as always but I'm finally getting some downtime and able to relax a bit. I had to work until 5 on Christmas Eve, had 4 houses to go to on Christmas Day, and was supposed to have yesterday off but was called into court :headache: so no day off. Last night we went into Boston for dinner at PF Changs (yum!) and to see the Grinch. The show was cute...not one of the best shows I've ever seen...but cute. Today my friend Sarah came over to let me borrow all of her capris to try on for the trip   . Now I have to try them on and see if any of them will solve my clothing issues. popcorn:: After Sarah left, we all went to see Bedtime Stories. Really cute. Adam Sandler just cracks me up. Love him.

I figured I'd share some pics of our Christmas festivities....

I took about 100 present opening shots so I won't bore you with all of them...but here is the excitement for the Kit AG Doll (Big present this Christmas)

PF Changs...noticed the spikes around the horse. Think that means that you aren't supposed to climb up on there. Clearly DH didn't get that.:rolleyes1

Merry Christmas from US!!!

So photography has become my latest trip issue. Needless to say, with all my Disney trips, I have LOTS of pictures of Disney. Everytime I go, I buy the Photopass CD. I have never gone to Disney solo and don't know what to do about cameras and photography in general.

First, I figure that there is absolutely no sense in getting the CD. I really don't plan on stopping and taking a lot of Photopass pics. I would like one pic of me in front of the castle for memories but that's about it. It's not like I can even share the pics with my child ;) But does anyone think it's weird for me to take a pic of myself in front of the castle???

Next is my camera issue. If you've followed my last TR, you know that I have 2 cameras. I plan to bring them both...but again, is that weird on a solo trip? Should I just take my P&S and take candids of Disboarder encounters and leave my DSLR behind? I'm thinking that I want to take both but I definately don't want to bring a tripod...which means no night pics with my DSLR. So then, is their really a point to bring the DSLR and all the lenses just for day time pics???

Seriously, am I ready for therapy yet ;) :confused3 :rotfl:

Your Christmas looks like it was great, minus the whole working thing. ;)

It is not weird at all to get a solo Castle picture! I bet you will tell your DD when she gets older and then you can have proof. :lmao:

Do you think you will do a lot of photography that you don't always get to do because you are busy with your family? If so, then take it. But if you don't want to bring and carry it then I think you could leave it at home.

This trip is all about you and doing things you like to do. Taking good pictures at disney is one of your favorite things to do. Why not take both? You just know there will be a time when you wished you had the other camera with you so why not just take both and look forward to being able to make taking the pictures you want a priority?

Love the grinch jumper!

Cindy has the same coat (samantha's) and hat and boots (the snow outfit) from AG for her doll. Her doll got the blue/grey dress and jeans and tunic outfit for Christmas.

You're right...I know I'm going to want it while I'm there. I'm going to bring it. What I wish was that I had a stroller to throw the tripod in so I could get good night pics :rotfl:

You are right too. Thanks to helping my decision...I'm going to take both. I'll carry most of stuff around during the day and then when we go out at night for the DISmeet I'll just bring my P&S.

Ash has all those outfits too. My house is starting to look like an AG catalogue! But she doesn't dress the dolls in the clothes that belong to that doll (obviously!). She wants them to learn to share! Today they are all wearing the 1930's outfits!

Anyone want to give their opinions on new Crocs???? As an aside, has anyone been to a Crocs kiosk in the mall lately? They have TONS of new styles...including BOOTS....super cute. Oh and they made Mickey fur-lined ones now.

This time I need help with color. I need to order some new ones ASAP to break them in and I'm trying to decide...black or khaki??? I also think I'm going to get the chocolate/cotton candy Minnie Janes. Going overboard yet??? :rotfl:

I think black goes with everything so that is what I would pick. Minnie Janes? I do not think I have seen these. I am off to the croc website!

I really want furry ones...but have been resisting. NOW there's MICKEY furry ones!!! Oh I HAVE to check those ones out:rotfl:

Color...go with what you wear the most... I wear almost always dark (black/navy/green) bottoms, so black is a no brainer for me :goodvibes

Paula

I'm telling you those furry ones are SO COMFY. They are like little pillows of heaven.

Minnie Janes are the Mary Janes with the Mickey head cut outs...they are only $17 on Crocs outlet I believe

Yes they have Mickey ones now...Shoebuy and Crocs.com definately have them (as well as the mall). They look sooo comfy!

You are enabling again!!! ;) Here I was thinking that I didn't NEED furry Crocs (not for Disney just general wearing about the house purposes)

I am a very bad enabler. Guilty as charged. If it makes you feel better I am on the Crocs website now. :rolleyes1

Sigh. They don't have them in my size. I hate having big feet. :sad1:

You have to have big feet...you are super tall. If you didn't have big feet, you'd fall over ;)

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the Minnie Janes per your love of Mary Janes. The chocolate will definately match with the khaki capris I borrowed from my friend.

The chocolate ones are adorable. Those are the ones that I would get I think. I can't even figure out if they even make the girly pink colors in Women's Size 11. I can't even find them on ebay.

Oooh!! I didn't even see those. Some croc shopper I am. :lmao: Now I am debating between the pink and the cotton candy ones. :ssst:

Both are cute! I have the pink (not the Mickey ones...just that color) and they go with surprisingly a lot in the Spring/Summer.
