Santa Fe Or Newport Bay?

Sorry siobh didn't mean to confuse you
I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for but of course it comes down to your personal preferences, if you would rather have the money to spend in the park then go for the Santa Fe, if you have a bit of extra spare money then go for the NBC.
We are stayin in the DLH this January but my daughter knows that because we have had to save extra hard to stay there we wont have as much spending money and we have agreed that that is ok for us this time.
I'm positive you will have an exellent time whatever you choose :rotfl:

I think we're all agreed on that one :goodvibes .

siobh is there anything in particular you are concerned about with your hotel choice? You've been to DLRP before, both the Santa Fe and the Cheyenne are only another 5 minutes (if that) walk away from the parks compared with the Sequoia Lodge.

Whichever hotel you choose, you deserve and expect a clean comfy room with full working amenities. You should fully expect that whether you are at the Santa Fe or the Disneyland Hotel. If you don't get that, you should feel totally within your rights to complain and insist on a room change. If you don't get any satisfaction while you are at the resort, when you come home complain in writing.

In my experience, you are just as likely to get a dingy room at the NBC as the Santa Fe. To be honest, if we had been staying longer than 2 nights, I would have complained about the state of our room at the NBC, and asked for a change. I've never even considered doing that at either the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne, as I've had nothing to complain about :confused3 .

You've booked the Santa Fe, you're going in Christmas season - go and enjoy yourselves :goodvibes .

I do sympathise with you, it's not easy and you really want to make sure you've got it right. I can't think of any other reason for upgrading from SF to Cheyenne other than IMHO the Cheyenne looks nicer.
When I was looking for our next trip I plumped for Cheyenne out of the 2, what swung it for me was the bunk beds at Cheyenne, which will make my boys happier. But having stayed the last 2 trips at SL and before that at NPB I am having some misgivings about going back to the budget hotels and depending on our circumstances I may yet upgrade to SL nearer the time, because although I don't like the SL, as I mentioned I like the location and the breakfasts, but is it worth an extra £100 :confused3 especially given the current exchange rate and it's impact on spending money.

I'd suggest making a list of all the reasons you can think of for upgrading and all the ones for staying put and work out what's most important to you. :goodvibes
