Sanford vs. MCO

We're planning our 2nd trip to Disney in April. I've been looking at fares and noticed some good fares from our local airport to Sanford. The last time we went to Disney we landed at MCO. Would someone please tell me the differences between MCO and Sandford? Thanks!

We just returned home last month from a trip to WDW and we flew back on Allegiant Air out of Sanford - compared to MCO Sanford is very small which is rather nice IMO!! It was very easy to find and the airport terminal was pretty quiet - it probably took 20 minutes to check in and go through airport security.

We flew PanAm, out of Worcester Ma, into Sanford in '01. It was really quite wonderful....the airport, not PanAm!! Tiffany T. picked us up and I would say it took about 50 minutes to get to POR. With Allegient flying out of Worc now, it looks like we'll be flying into Sanford in the near future. Will just try to rent a car though. We're getting braver.

Sanford all the way We loved the smaller scale, efficient baggage check, and were well on our way to ASMo within minutes of landing. It took us the same time to get to the resort from Sanford as from MCO (less than 60 minutes). WE'll try to never do MCO again.

I've never flown into or out of Sanford. I absolutely love flying into MCO. Even the airport has a Disney feel to me.
