So we got a good deal for the dolphin with Thomson but it means we fly into Sanford which is an unknown airport for us as have always flown into MCO.

So a few questions, my husband is a little food fussy and sometime plane food isn't to his liking. the problem is, he gets hangry!!!!! So I like to get him something to eat quickly before we head to coach/ME. So does Sanford have somewhere to get a quick bite before getting our transfer?

Also, we have paid for a transfer with Thomson and just wondering how they work getting people to their destinations. Would it be fair to say they group all the Disney resorts in one coach and off site in another? Again the other half gets very inpatient and wants to get to the hotel asap and tempers flair when we are the last on the bus!!! I can only imagine the grief when we already have an hours drive ahead of us. Would love to hear the Dolphin is the first stop!!!!!:worship:

We paid £72 for a return transfer, obviously could get a private car but this has never gone smoothly before and I'm sure will be a great deal more than this.

Any other Sanford tips would be greatly received!

thanks

Sanford, is a small but good airport, it doesn't take long to get out from customs like MCO. There are bars a restaurants for your return journey home, but I don't recall seeing much on the way out in arrivals.

Thomson have a desk there by the car hire area and they will guide you to your transfer. I wouldn't like to say how the transfers are divided as we always hire a car, but I would assume it all depends on the make up of your flight. If the majority are staying on I-Drive (likely) then you might get your own smaller transfer bus, or just be tagged onto a I-Drive bus, no way of telling till you arrive!

We have been significantly delayed at Sanford and placed in a holding room! As the airport is so small it's difficult for customs to process more than one flight. They do have an excellent Palm Lounge which is free to Thomson premium class and I think you can pay to go in before the return flight. The restaurant/cafes can get busy, again if several flights are due to depart.

We've travelled to WDW on the buses and several hotels have been grouped on one. We've been the first and last drop!

To be fair, my friends go stuck in a holding room MCO in April so it's not unusual. At MCO there can be 3 or 4 UK flights in within 45 mins of each other
