Sanford International to AKL

I need to know the best way to travel from Sanford to AKL. We have never driven at WDW and I'm very nervous about it. We always have a towncar and then use the wonderful bus system

Someone mentioned that I should use the tollway from Sanford to avoid traffic.

Any help would be appreciated. I use randmcnally online, but I'm not sure it gave me the tollway.

The tollway is 417 or the Greenway. It is without a doubt the easiest way to get to WDW. It will cost you $5.50 in tolls. The other way is I-4 but that road has a habit of traffic jams. If you don't feel good about driving than there is car service available from Sanford. Many will stop for groceries for you. You may find the price of the car service is right at the rental car price or could be a little lower. The car service will get you out to Disney about an hour after you pick up your luggage.

There is also taxi service available at Sanford, but usually the metered price will run $10.00 to $20.00 more than what you may find a car service with an SUV (7 - 8 passengers), van (7 - 12 passengers) or town car (4 passengers). No matter the size of the vehicle the prices run about the same, $180.00 to $240.00 depending on the company. The car service will provide you with "meet and greet" service, grocery shopping, door to door service and a fast efficient ride to WDW, not to mention a driver who may fill you in on tips and generally entertain you on your way to and from Disney.

417 is the best bet! Just be sure to have a supply of quarters and $1s for the tolls . . . it will make the trip much easier.

I agree that the 417 would be the easiest way to get there. Take it to the Osceola Parkway exit (bear right at the end of the off ramp) and then take Osceola Parkway right to AKL.
