Sanford - how close is alamo?

Anyone know how close the Alamo is to the terminal? I am traveling with my 2 kids, so we all have to stay together and drag all the luggage to the car rental facility. Also trying to plan for when we need to drop the car off on the return trip. Alamo won't actually be open when we need to drop off the car. Can I park it at Alamo, go check in with Allegiant and get rid of checked bags, then go back and get a receipt from Alamo before going through security (or is that unnecesssary)? TIA!

Alamo will be about 125 yards from the exit door of the terminal.

For early returns, drive into Alamo's lot and you will be directed to an area to park. Gather your belongings, take little kids by the hand, leave the keys in the car and go to the terminal. No need to return to the terminal.
