I booked an Alamo car at SFB, but have a coupon for a free upgrade. Can this be done at the kiosk or do I need to go to the counter?

You can use the kiosk. Not sure how you got the upgrade, but, if it is a paper coupon, bring that with you. Electronic one, no worries.
