Sanford airport

My family is looking to go to disney in november and the prices are much cheaper to fly into Sanford versus MCO. Is there any Magical Express that will take them on property to Beach Club or will they need to get a cab? Thanks.

Cab, car service, or shuttle. You should be able to Google Sanford Airport to find transportation options. No Magical Express.

And also check the cost. WDW is about 50 miles from Disney so nothing is actually cheap. Various people have reported using Mears and costing between $109 and $140 each way. So be sure to do your homework to ensure the flight savings aren't eaten up by ground transportation. With ME being free it may still make sense to go to MCO.

There's been a lot of threads on this in this forum.
The general consensus seems to be that getting a rental car can be a good option if you don't mind driving (+ the bonus is that you have transportation for grocery/bevie trips and if you want to go off site). Cost can be reasonable if you have the time to book and follow the rate drops.
There are a couple of car services available. Costs reasonable to expensive.
Cab is going to cost a good chunk of change (would be my last choice)

I use Sanford a lot. I rent a car, it's never been a hassle. The drive is not bad at all, it makes up for it as there is not a huge wait at Security or tons of walking from one end of the airport to another for gates. I get direct flight for low cost at Sanford, security short, and the size much smaller are the gret pluses.

You could never do a taxi when it's about an hour away. I watch rates, using a tentative reservation and watch for other codes and discount prices closer to the trip. Never prepay, unless you're traveling in a few days and get a huge rate break.

We just got back from Orlando and used Sanford. We used Kelly Transportation (hope it's ok I post it). We found it at the Sanford Airport website. It cost our family of 3 $100 each way (that is including a $10 tip). We loved the Sanford airport. So small and easy. It took us about 45 minutes to get to ASMusic. If you have any other questions - feel free to ask!

$200 is pretty much, give or take, what it will cost for a towncar from Sanford to WDW and back..not including tips.
I have done a car service but prefer to rent a car now. The drive is pretty straightforward and easy. Hard to get lost!!! Everything is well marked down there.

FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHERS READING THIS THREAD. I'm assuming the poster I quoted has valid reasons for tipping the way they did.

The normal tip for limo transportation is 20%. The normal tip for other car service is 15-20%. Double check, some companies add a service charge in lieu of tip. Some Orlando companies add a 20% service charge for limo transportation but generally car service companies in Orlando don't.

An 11% tip, for good service, is low. On issue is the fare. It's very easy to give the driver 5 20s for a $90 fare and not think twice.
