Sanford Airport

Family of five flying into Sanford. Anyone had happy (or not so happy) experiences with any transfer companies? We are staying at the Dolphin. I am wondering what rental company is located there, though five usually don't qualify for the cheap-o rental cars. We don't want to rent a car for the week, wondering if it is cheaper to rent one to drive ourselves there or book with some other company for transportation to and from Sanford airport. Love the teacher rate at the Dolphin, and the great rates through Allegiant Air!

We love flying into Sanford. I have found car services to be expensive to/from Sanford. We rent a car. I would check into the cost of renting for one day through Alamo or National at Sanford and returning to their locations at the Dolphin.

2. we rent from Dollar and always get a free upgrade to fit 4 people with lots of room, but the other poster had the better idea drop it off at dolphin, we did this last yr. from bcvilla so easy, just rent it again at the end of the trip
3. here's the sanford website, my nephew used a shuttle i think $25 per person look on the website, but he was under 25 so couldn't rent a car

Thanks, I will look into renting a car for one day to get to the Dolphin and one day to get back to Sanford. Can anyone confirm the car rentals at the Dolphin?
