One of our group is disabled. She is able to walk with crutches but not very far. I am aware that if you take a wheelchair, you will not get it back until baggage claim, same as pushchairs. Really, what we need to know is how far the distance is from getting off the plane to getting to baggage claim. I know there may be queues at passport control but we are not concerned about that at the moment.

Also is there any way to get a wheelchair porter guy at the gate of the plane to take you through to passport control and baggage claim. If so, how do we organise this? We are travelling with First Choice.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if that's correct. My son has problems walking, last summer we were allowed to take our stroller on board.

You can get prior arrangements to get you quickly through passport control. Here and in Orlando we were put straight through.

Speak to First Choice.

Speak to your airline special assistance. We flew Virgin into MCO but they offered to meet DD with a wheelchair on arrival. We didn't need it but I saw others being met and taken through customs in a wheel chair. I'm sure i've seen the same at sanford.

Also there may be a wait until you get the wheel chair unloaded - I can't recall any chairs to sit and wait.
